Hurts had 3 dime TDs to Brown in that one.  Hurts wasn't very good last year and looking back at that game he's not even close to that level right now.

According to @BigEFly, Hurts is actually getting through his progressions quicker, and this is the biggest issue.  He's much better at it than his rookie year.  I've read all the excuses people make for Hurts, but this one literally made me laugh my ass off.

Hurts is only throwing deep on 2% of his drop backs in the last 4 games, that's last in the NFL over that span. He has just stopped throwing the ball deep to Brown and Smith.

Honestly, that's the quickest fix for this passing game. It's not throwing over the middle, it's allowing his elite WRs to make plays on contested balls they'll win the majority of the time one on one.

Comes with the added benefit of relieving post-snap compression, opening things up for Barks.

Pickens officially out Sunday

Without Elliott/Ogonjubi, and the Steelers offense, there's an argument to run a ton on Sunday. At the same time, we're going to throw a lot given the week.

Dragging Stafford at 37 when he's already top 10 all time in passing yards and TDs, a SB champion and future Hall of Famer to give Hurts a pass for the passing being inefficient the last couple of games is...certainly a take.

I hope Moore isn't stupid enough to be swayed by the BS. Run the ball and run it some more. Personal stats be dammed.

First play 6 yard SB run. Pass Pass Pass Pass after. Then again, a huge pass attempt to Brown wouldn't shock me.

Foles is awesome.

Jerry Rice
Chris Carter
Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Calvin Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Max McGee
Sterling Sharpe (yes, I'm putting him on the list, despite the injury... just like Gale Sayers belongs in a conversation about top 10 RB).
Marvin Harrison
Bobby Mitchell (worth researching his story for anyone uninitiated in who he is, and what he accomplished.)

Guys with pre-merger primes should be on a separate list, in my opinion. Might be an explosive take to the older guys, I don't know. But I can't rationalize Don Hutson vs. Randy Moss as an apples to apples comparison no matter what anybody says.

I actually agree with you about Sharpe. 3 1st Team All-Pros in 7 years is insane.

Criteria for me: 5+ years of elite play, stats/accomplishments, wow/dominant quality,  and, perhaps most arguable, some speculative adjustment based on QB quality (Marvin Harrison was not as good as Larry Fitz despite having more gawdy stat years).

Jerry Rice

Randy Moss

Terrell Owens

Calvin Johnson

Larry Fitzgerald

Antonio Brown

Sterling Sharpe

Tyreek Hill

Cris Carter

(Like a 5 guy conversation for 10th. Had Harrison here, but ehhh. Put a guy like Torry Holt with prime Peyton Manning and I think he puts up insane stats, better than Harrison's. Hell, put Larry Fitz with prime Peyton and I think he gets within shouting distance of Rice's records.)

I doubt they will go away from the run.  Hopefully all they do is allow/scheme a few more deep shots for Hurts to Brown/Smith

They got smoked. There was no stopping Foles that post season

You better hope Marvin isn't reading these threads

Yeah I’d still like to see Barkley run it 20-25+ times; with Hurts hitting between 25-30 pass attempts, including a few deep shots.

Whoa Elliott is out!

Yea, run it all back and miss the playoffs.
