It's not a 2nd opinion.  They can really diagnose most knee conditions without an MRI.  An MRI, will tell them the potential extent of an injury and whether surgery is needed. My guess is they would have announced it as season ending if he had an ACL injury.  It's probably a MCL or meniscal injury.

No injury is good, but I'm fully confident in Steen stepping in. He's no Landon Dickerson, but he's a solid OG.

Give him a couple weeks off and let's get back at it.

Someone would have to be biased as hell to think Barkley isn't the huge difference maker on offense and easily MVP

I agree

Hope you are right.

That was one thing the bombastic Rex Ryan said that I agreed with; QBs are actually safer if they fall forward to get down, rather than sliding feet-first.

I completely agree with this.

It went from league to Eagles

I missed the transition, mostly due to indifference.

Sounds lIke a dumpster fire.  Why is the portal open this early?  Any logical reason behind it?

The thing called school starts in January.

In reality, the PSU QB waits and the money dries up and he is stuck if he waits.

That really sucks, but I have faith in Steen.

Give me Keegan at LG.

Well Jason Peters went down the super bowl year so as we know its not the end of the world if he is done . Id imagine guard is also easier to replace

Selection on the dependent variable is ill advised

Yeah I'm okay with that too, but I imagine they'll turn to Steen first

Honestly I don’t understand how Eagles get away with barely losing anyone long term ever for like the last 4 years. I’m sure their strategy with rest/lighter practices helps to a degree but you’d think just playing football in general would lead to more injuries. Somehow Brandon Graham was the biggest name in the last 4 years followed by Derek Barnett.

Bold prediction his first int comes in the playoffs in a big spot

If he wants to do it in the Super Bowl, I won't argue with him.

I think they are actually practicing in pads this year, compared to previous years.

Here it is

Speaking of the Vikings, they're gonna let Darnold go after this season, but I can't see any team who would pay him big money. The Giants will draft a QB, the Raiders will draft a QB. He's not gonna go back to the Jets. All the other bad teams have QBs.

Maybe the Steelers if they fizzle out and decide to part with Wilson?

I guess a team that drafts a QB could also sign Darnold to start for a year, but would he go to a team that's drafting a QB in the top 5 knowing he'd be signing in a place that has no future plans for him. I don't see a fit really.

Darnold is going to be in somewhat of a catch 22.  On the one hand, teams are looking at the Geno Smith's and Baker Mayfield's of the world and seeing that players who wash out at first can come back and be serviceable.  But on the other hand, neither Tampa Bay nor Seattle are really a threat to win anything.  Geno and Baker made their teams respectable, but not a real bonafide contender.

If I was going to bet money on where Darnold winds up next, it's gonna be in LA with the Rams.  I think LA has an out in Stafford's contract after this season if they wanted to move on.  Darnold would keep them respectable, buys them some time to move on from Kupp and stack the roster some more, and Darnold's a SoCal guy so he'd be about as comfortable as he could hope to be.

That tweet about Dickerson isn’t alarming to me….seems like SOP for the Eagles and Sirriani.

Yea, they for sure ramped up practices this year and so far so good.

Same. Sirianni never gives updates or any type of info anyway. With Goedert it came out he had a knee sprain and could be on IR and Sirianni still wouldn’t rule him out for the next game. The fact that it’s been so quiet with updates from reporters makes me think it’s not that serious at all.

Whatever happened to Big V? Last I knew he was playing guard on the Lions. That was a year or two ago

I'm a PSU fan and can't stand Franklin most of the time but he is 100% right on this one.  How can you have a portal end right at the start of the College Football playoffs?  Sounds like Allar is coming back so what is Beau supposed to do?  Why wouldn't they have it end right after the season ends?  Plain stupidity by CFB

Oh, no doubt it's an absolute mess. I think what he meant to say and he sort of clarified it a few sentences later is that he didn't want to leave the team RIGHT NOW, but he's forced to because of the portal.

They need to get on top of this before it's too late.

I think he finished up his career there last season.
