I’m sure their strategy with rest/lighter practices helps to a degree but you’d think just playing football in general would lead to more injuries. Tbh we might want Vikings to win this game for the week 18 matchup with the lions to matter for them. If they lose this game and the lions win the next two, then the game becomes meaningless cause the lions would be 5-0 in the division and Minnesota already would have 2 losses within the division. So tiebreaker goes to the lions so good chance the Vikings just rest guys. Really need either lions lose one of the next two and beat Minnesota week 18. Or Minnesota loses to Seattle then beats lions in week 18 (i believe the second scenario the Vikings might lose tiebreaker division due to conference record so chance they just rest guys in that scenario)

The Bears have lost some close games, they could be due to finally pull one out and get out of this losing steak.

This is assuming the Lions can keep up their same winning percentage now that they only have one good leg and an arm tied behind their back
