Nah it was the 1 loss in the 10-1 record that preceded the meltdown. Week 6 I believe, since it ended the Eagles winning streak at 5 to start that season.

No matter how good the Eagles are they always seem to have a loss during the regular season to a terrible team every single time, usually to a terrible Seahawks team or a terrible Commanders team. This year it was to a mid af Falcons team.

While in agreement with everything up until the and after drop in your viewpoint, I can’t totally agree. That’s going to be a sack no matter what Calcaterra or Jalen do.  Not really on Lane as much as it was superb play by Watt, who may be the best at his position in the NFL today.  No shame on Lane for only winning 99% of the time against a phenomenal player. The play between those two was art.

I disagree that he would be a starter elsewhere but he is a great backup.  You may recall that I thought people went overboard gushing about him after the draft because he was green but as a #2, he is in the top tier in the league.  If reasonable, I would extend him in a heartbeat. In fact, of the second tier UFAs for the Eagles to extend, he is the priority.  (Just to understand, Milton is a second tier.).

You could replace gainwell in free agency every year. He should not be a priority

In reality, the PSU QB waits and the money dries up and he is stuck if he waits.

2nd semester starts in January and maybe the gym/ lifting for the football program but there’s little reason the portal can’t be delayed for a couple of weeks and have some sort of grace period for transferred student athletes to begin classes/football program the 2nd or 3rd week of January instead of the first.

 

That makes much more sense than pulling athletes away in the middle of the playoffs.
