It's true that Sony is still using LGD panels, but you're paying a premium for their video processor and OS (Android vs WebOS.) Whether it's worth the price is subjective, but TCL's motion handling wasn't very good last I recall reading. That's one of the reasons why one might consider paying a bit more for a Sony. Upscaling is another but that's dependent on how much sub 4k content you'd be watching through the native apps (external media devices do their own upscaling.)

AV dude said LG or samsung. Sont costs more and breaks down more in their experience.

seems the OLEDs have come down alot in price. Like 1200-1400 for a 65” oled

All I do is budget options.   I have a TCL in one room... an Insignia in the other.  The Insignia had the LEDs go a while back.  A quick Youtube search and I found that it was a pretty easy fix... once you get the panels off.   Replaced the LEDs... and voila... like a brand new TV.   The replacement LEDs only ran about $60 or so... way cheaper than a new TV.     (And honestly, it was a lot of fun to take apart and fix!)

I had a TCL and it was awesome, i gave that to a friend and got a Hisense QLED mini led and the picture and sound are amazing for the price of 400 bucks for a 55".

Saban going to be fuming at the half about how Alabama should have been in the CFP over Indiana when Norte Dame goes up three scores.

OT: anyone have experience with OLED tvs? Are they worth it?

I have a 77 and 65 inch Sony Bravia OLED, love them. Very crisp picture. Zero complaints on my end

Okay dude, you aren't Saquon.

Never had an issue with my Sony TVs…long time user of their TVs too.  But perhaps I’ve just been lucky.

I have 4 Sony's and 4 Samsung. I've have a ton of issues with the Samsungs. Zero problems with Sony so your not alone

If you plan on watching movies, keep in mind that Samsung still refuses to pay the license for Dolby Vision. I watch a lot of movies, so for me that was a deal breaker.

The only Samsung I ever owned died just shy of 2 years. Supposedly the symptoms pointed to a failed power supply but I was not inclined to try to fix it. I own an LG that I bought back in 2015 or 2016 that's still working so I went back to LG and so far no problems with the new TV.

Samsung quality has slipped over the last few years...I am looking at replacing a 70" Samsung that was supposed to be great, I struggle with features I really don't want but can't disable like "film maker mode". Of all the reviews I have been reading LG OLED is the way to go...

Is Eskin done on the sidelines too?

One can only hope.

I just re-watched the first half of the first Washington game.  I realize it was only 5-6 weeks ago, but I had completely forgotten how ugly the Eagles looked the first half of that game.  The first points they scored were with 19 seconds remaining in the first half on a chip shot field goal….after Jake had already missed 2 previously.

It looks like they were trying to force-feed Dotson.  Looked like a completely different offense.

It will be interesting to see how different this game looks

Yeah I would always see a pop up about film maker mode but I never understood what it was supposed to do or mean. As far as I could tell it didn't do anything but I never figured it out. I only bought a Samsung because my cable company had an app for streaming TV that was only available on Samsung TVs for some reason. I don't have cable at all anymore and since the TV didn't even make it 2 years I have no reason to try a Samsung again any time soon, if ever.

Sounds like it per inquirer per some one on twitter.

Who the hell are we rooting for this week, besides our team?

I get the easy ones like the Bears over the Lions and Seahawks over the Vikes.  And Niners to stay in the statistical playoff race so they play hard next week.

Steelers/Ravens?  Browns/Bengals?  Saints/Packers? Do we care which in these since we beat them all?

Teams we beat we want them to win?  Like Rams over Jets, Jags over Raiders, Panthers over Cards?

Who else? Falcons to lose both because they beat us and because we play and presumably beat the Giants 2x?  Or we want the Falcons to win so their strength rating improves (and we lost to a stronger team)? Same with the Bucs over the boyz? We want Tampa?

We want the Packers to lose even though we beat them once. But theoretically the Vikings would have two wins over the Packers. So we want the Saints in that game. The biggest games are actually Dallas and the Giants. We want both of them to (gasp)...WIN. Bizarre, but yes. Unless we lose to Washington, then f em.

I have a LG C3. It’s amazing. Just don’t recommend it if you like watching TV in bright rooms. Need the G series for that.

Remember, it was also a Thursday night game and I feel teams aren't as well prepared for those in the first place.

I expect the defense and offense to be sharper, especially want to see the offense carry the success they had last week. Give Barkley a bit of a break and pull back on his touches.

CES is Jan 7th where they they showcase new tech and release next year's model of stuff. Best bet is to wait a few weeks for "older" tech to go on sale.

I play on getting a 77" LG C4.

That’s what I did last year for the 65. 77 is a better bet size wise. I wish I went bigger.

Except it would cost more than a first rounder in the teens.  Would probably take at least two of them.

I’ll be honest, I have no idea what he even does on the sidelines anymore
