I hope Hurts is ready to throw him the ball.

Hurts hit Dotson in the hands on 3rd down, but Dotson dropped it and Hurts never looked his way again.

Weather adds a layer of intrigue that doesn't exist in a dome.  Domes have ideal conditions... dry, no wind, not cold... boring.  The match ups can be great but watching a great match up where the teams are battling the elements in addition to each other is something that really only football has.  Basketball and hockey are always played indoors, not counting the carnival outdoor hockey games.  Baseball has to deal with wind and shadows, but if the weather really turns bad, they pause the game.  Football alone plays through any conditions, except lightning.  It's one of the best things about the sport, at least to me.  Eliminating that feels like you are taking away part of the soul of the game.  Then again, the NFL is doing everything they can to do that already with the fake kickoffs, the horrible/over officiating of the game, etc.  As Coach Boone once said, "Let the boys play."

And I won't deny part of it is nostalgia for me.  My brother and I would always scrounge up a football game whenever it would snow.  There's nothing like playing in a snowstorm.  So much fun.

So the eagles super bowl in 2017 was boring to you?

You lost the thread.  The previous comment I made was about how generic indoor REGULAR season games can be.  Now, a game in perfect conditions can absolutely be dramatic and exciting, but add some weather in to it, and it raises the intrigue level.

Lol, my bad i just read the last 2 pages.

Off topic:

This in-season tournament, NBA Cup, is unentertaining and adds no value to a sport that already had diminished entertainment value since the 90s and early 2000s.

You'll adapt.  Other leagues have in season "cups" as well and they matter. Over time people will begin caring at least a little bit.  And then,  it does add some meaning to early season games that have otherwise felt meaningless for years and years.

Decent idea.

I do think the NBA can incentives it more to make people care more.  Like a decent team is probably going to win so give them some lottery balls or something. That'd be big.

I didn’t find out the score until the next day.  No idea how some of you stayed up for that.

Good.

I don't want to see the Niners or Bucs make the playoffs.

Do we need the bright blue, green and red courts though? Make it about basketball, not the other crap.

I agree. However also need purdy healthy and not shut down later in the season when they face the lions if they are eliminated by that point.

Jokes aside, I had to get up at 3:30 am to catch a flight the next day so I was behaved

Plus we need him healthy enough for the 9ers to do the funniest thing ever and give him a monster contract.

Guy always carries himself like some moral authority on everything.  His whole history is filled with crap like this.  A total unhinged nut job.  I've had him threatening physical violence on me in emails before because I've let him know how trash his takes are.

He’s still the only entertaining personality left on 97.5. This type of behavior makes him fun to listen to, because he’s nuts. The morning show is so bad now I can’t listen, and the afternoon show is almost as bad.

The one good thing is the NFCW is so tight, that all 4 of them may be in contention to the very end.

That night holds a special place in my heart.

Was in a weightlifting and puss crushing arc of my life.

Did not have a lot of liquor, beer, and wine in the house.

But I drank it all that night. About 25 or so units worth.

Then I said F it. I'm keeping the party going. Also had planned no work for the next day.

And that was the first time I ever tried sherry cooking wine on the rocks 🤣

Looking way ahead, I’m hoping Barkley’s drop that would have sealed the game vs the Falcons isn’t what presents us from getting the #1 seed.

Easily the biggest threat in the NFC is the Lions. Playing there would be an extremely difficult game. Hosting them… I think we win by two scores. Goff outdoors in January doesn’t scare me in the slightest.

If we didn’t have a 3 year old asleep in the next room that would have been our next move.

No big deal, I drank the coronas and got a good night sleep instead.

How did she do on that flight?  Hudson would probably run up and down the aisles kicking people in the shins.

That worries me though.  Keeping the 9ers  in it means they can get their s*** together in the last quarter of the season, sneak in and be a legit threat.

I want them out ASAP and playing spoiler against other playoff teams.

Pretty good. We woke her up at 4:30 for a 8 am flight.  So we should have been behind the eight ball there.  But she was really good because she was so excited to get on the plane.

She also did good going through the airport/customs there and on the hour drive to the resort.

But by the time we got to the resort she was deliriously tired and was acting out.  Then we had a room issue I had to sort out so we couldn’t get settled till even later.

When she finally was able to be put down she fell asleep HARD.
