Commies might as well just tackle everyone with the o line. Refs don't seem to want to call holding.

damn commanders are a great 4th down team

Coop would never.  He'd have piledrived the mfer into the ground before the sticks.

Second defender should've grabbed and pulled him backwards from getting the 1st

You can see why Fangio played so much zone vs. Washington. Avoiding those Daniels scrambles.

Some random thoughts that are floating around in my brain.

(1) Regarding the Eagles' potential Playoffs Round 1 opponent, for me the biggest determining factor is Fangio's Defensive Scheme, which has a strong preference for light boxes ... only four pass rushers and a small number of blitzes.  Of the four Playoffs-possibile QBs from Washington, Green Bay, Tampa Bay and Atlanta, Jayden Daniels is far and away the most able to exploit the vulnerabilities of a light box.  He is mobile and athletic enough to find the creases between (or around) the four rushing linemen, and is the best (most elusive) open field runner of the four QBs.  On the other end of the scale, Michael Penix is the least mobile and athletic.  MBaker mayfield and Jordan Love are somewhere in between, but both are closer to Daniels than to Penix.  So for me, Atlanta is the team I want to see the Eagles play because their Defensive strengths take away the Atlanta passing game and Penix isn't as much of a threat to break through/around the Eagles' light box front.

(2) Regarding the value of Jordan Davis in Fangio's scheme, even though the number of snaps is low (dare I say very low), his ability to present a substantial obstacle to the opponents' establishing any kind of running game ... even when Fangio is deploying a light box and not blitzing one of the back 7 ... is incredibly valuable.

(3) Today's game gave us a whole passel full of blessings ... Pickett showed what he can do with a week of preparation working with the starters ... McKee nailed his audition for QB#2 in the 2025 season ... CJGJ kept his mouth shut and flashed some of the 2022 opportunism ... Cooper Dejean survived another day of punt returning ... the Eagles are +10 in net turnovers, which is tied for 5th in the NFL ... and for the second time this year when a statement game was called for, they came up big.

Atlanta’s Defense blows

I mean Daniels still ran for 81 on 9 rushes.

when I watch the commanders, I think teams  bring pressure to get him down and that causes their pass rushers to not keep their lane integrity and containment. To me the commanders don’t have good enough weapons besides Terry McLaurin that can beat me. So if I can prevent Daniels from broken plays and getting outside the pockets and creating havoc then i feel more confident. Once he starts breaking the pocket and having broken plays that’s when their guys become better and Daniels can beat you consistently.

The problem Fangio faced though was that he only rushed 4 most of the time, and that means more/bigger creases for Daniels to scramble through/around.  I think Fangio might want to add a spy on Daniels the next time.

this game is still close but it feels like commanders in driver's seat

Holy crap make a tackle

Both of these teams blow

Idk what 24 is doing but god gave you arms for a reason.

Great tackling

And the Falcons suck again

That was one of the saddest tackle attempt I have ever seen.

Still mad the eagles lost to them
Tired of seeing penix overthrow receivers on potential scoring plays

Should’ve tried for the TD end of first half.  Settling for the FG attempt by burning clock will cost the dirty birds.

Atlanta would be up huge if they could tackle. That illegal contact penalty on 3rd and 25 to start the half is a killer.

Anyone know who has tiebreaker between Washington & Green Bay?

Didn’t help Atlanta was absolutely stupid in throwing the ball to start the game. Commanders are awful against the run and they come out throwing and Penix gives the commanders the ball at the 38
