Hopefully Dickerson can hold up for the game but I wouldn't be surprised if he's out before halftime. Supposedly during media night when every other player is walking around he was sitting the entire time.

I noticed that too

Did they ever give specifics on what the injury even is? For the amount of pain he seemed to be in, my first thought was meniscus or articular cartiledge? Doesn't seem like a ligament sprain based on what we saw.

I haven't heard anything. I saw that fraud ProFootballDoc say he thinks based off viewing it's a meniscus or ACL injury.

The whole Swift/Kelce relationship is manufactured as a mutually beneficial publicity stunt.  The same reason TV shows cast popular musical artists.

Or is it merely a coincidence that she just so happens to be dating a future HOF player on one of the best teams, instead of some rando on the Jets?

Heard this on WIP, but it's fake news, he was walking around and reportedly without a limp. He did sit down for an interview though.

Of course it is, because it draws fans, ratings, money, etc.

I mean, the injury report from last Friday had to include game status as if they were playing on Sunday. Jurgens and Dickerson had no injury designation. If either were to miss the Super Bowl, unless there is a setback, the NFL will have some questions.

If it were an ACL, I figure we'd have heard about it already.   The fact that he's going to try to play through it tells me its likely much more about pain tolerance and effectiveness.   He'll likely need surgery in a couple weeks, but if its a meniscus tear, depending on how bad it is, he could just play through it if the pain can be dealt with.   A friend of mine tore his meniscus and was able to keep playing amateur volley ball for months before he had it cleared up.   Granted, he couldn't walk down the stairs with his shoulders square, but he was able to manage until he was ready for the surgery.   Granted, that's very different from playing in the NFL, but it was all about pain tolerance for him.   When the time came, they just cut off the torn piece and sewed him up again.

And, he was a 45 year old broken down athlete with limited resources... not an NFL player with that training staff looking out for him... with fancy drugs, etc.

Yes. Calling out silly comparisons to a hall of fame QB is hating

Calling out hating ( where no hating exists) is Mickey Mouse.

Lol mutually beneficial.Taylor swift is already one of the biggest pop stars the world has ever seen, she gets nothing from the NFL. The NFL gets the benefit of her fanbase to hopefully expand theirs, you think the dudes who do nothing but complain about her presence are now fans of hers? Unless the NFL is paying her in some form she gets nothing from being around

If you believe that you are naïve.

He didn't have an injury designation so it was obvious he was playing already.

I keep seeing that too.  I don't think he's a fraud as he has been relatively accurate overall...but he keeps saying that stuff about Dickerson yet the Eagles didn't list him on the injury report last week.  We'll see about this week.

But either way, I hope the Eagles aren't hiding his injury.  He left the NFCCG with a knee injury and it's been crickets ever since.

Like I said, if I didn't think there was a chance of that, I'd be done with the NFL.  The odds may be long... but that doesn't mean that its not possible.

More than that, I think that the referees have a tendency to over protect the star QBs... not just Mahomes.   We see it with Mahomes more than others, partly because we are looking for it with him more often.  But, the Mannings used to get 'generous' roughing calls from the referees as well.   IIRC, Trent Cole was called for roughing on one of the Mannings (I think it was Peyton, but can't be certain now) when he hand grazed the top of his helmet.  It's a QB driven league that wants passing.  So, QBs that pass get protected.  QBs that run don't.

That was against Peyton and the Colts 2010. That call still pisses me off.

I have to ask... if you believe this, really believe this... why do you continue to watch the NFL?

why does anyone watch wrestling?  I mean, the fans know it's all scripted, yet people love it

I don't think there's a script so to speak, but I do think that officiating is biased towards certain players/teams.

Al Michaels called that game like he was bored out of his mind. His call of the Hail Mary and the game ending was so disappointing.

I wish we got Kevin Harlan’s radio call instead. He’s great.

His call of the philly special was the GOAT.

I say fraud because of his shady past. There’s a lot of reasons he’s a Doc on X now instead of on a team.

I don’t doubt he’ll play. The question is how much/long does he last. Similarly, same with Graham. It’s a nice story he’s hoping to play but it’s probably just a matter of time before his triceps re-tears if he’s playing significant snaps.

Dickerson/Jurgens being banged up means we can't dress less OL to make Graham active.

BG is a much bigger concern for me, the guy is coming off surgery and is rushing back. But I don't think he'll play significant snaps or anything. Hunt has played pretty well and continues to get better, I hope he wouldn't cut into Hunt's snaps, but depends on how BG looks. No indication Dickerson or Jurgens injuries are anything serious. Nothing that will require surgery. Likely just strains. Who knows if they'll be 100%, but few are this time of year.

F you, look at what you made me do.   Here are all the trades leading to Carson as well as everything that followed the Carson trade to Indianapolis.  (I'm going to need to go back later and double check everything, but I think I got most if not all)

1) @mattwill, @LeanMeanGM discuss.  In as much detail as possible.

2) I now need to build a 2023 draft trade chart.  Howie turning two 7ths into a future 5th had too much prior history with those 7ths to fit in this chart.  So its a circle on here.

3) Same with the 2024 draft trade chart.  The move to get Cooper accounts for 90% of the picks traded that draft.  But I did find one minor mistake in the 2024 draft trade chart, which is now fixed:

He'd give us more with 1 arm than Huff with 2.
