I hear you, but look at just this year. This is just luck then?

I'm not going to look.  Because, like I said, if I'm ever convinced... I'm out, for good.   Now is not the time for that.

If you're asking which horse, the answer should be Secretariat ...

OK -- do I think there is some mandate from Park Avenue to the refs to assist the Chiefs? No - there is no formal policy or directive. That's conspiracy theory BS.

However, do I think the refs give the Chiefs, and in particular Mahomes, more calls than any other team/player in the league? Obviously - I mean, I do have eyes. And that's just the nature of being a star player and team to a large degree. Brady and Peyton got calls no one else would get. Is it worse with Mahomes? Yes. Is he doing more to draw the flags? Yes, since neither Tom nor Peyton were scrambling and doing fake slides. And the Chiefs as a team get the benefit of the doubt the same way the Pats did for years (unless you really think the Pats committed only 1 penalty in SB 52). As an example, no other team gets that PI call at the end of the Bengals game on a 4th down desperation heave, but the Chiefs do. I think it's worse with the Chiefs than even the Patriots because there was some animosity towards New England for the scandals that doesn't exist with the Chiefs.

But this isn't an NFL only issue. Michael Jordan got calls no one else would get -- he clearly pushed off on his shot to win his last finals, but it's Jordan so no chance it is called. Greg Maddux got extra room on the corner because he was Greg Maddux.

They just asked Hurts if he likes being doubted as extra fuel to which he smiled and replied "It's no secret''

Players aren't great if they do this, according to you, so what are your thoughts?

My thoughts are: it doesn't change the way he approaches one game from another. Being doubted might have fueled his work habits at a young age to the present time, but if you think a negative piece makes him want to win more than he already does, I think you are clueless.

I think you'd get the same answer from every single competitor in sports to that question. We all love proving doubters wrong. It goes back to the days when we were young kids and when it came time to pick teams, some were picked early --- some were not. If you don't like being picked last, you work hard to be good. And if you don't like that analogy, try this one: Look how many people want to say, "I told you so" on this very message board. We all have doubters and love to prove them wrong.

But Jalen gives 100% effort to win every game regardless of doubt or praise. That is my belief. He doesn't give less if nobody is doubting him. If you believe he does ... I mean ... I guess it doesn't matter what you believe ... but if it were true, he shouldn't be a team leader and it's doubtful teammates would respect him in that role.

On the opposite end, Jalen Carter got no calls this year. Not an established star, and the refs clearly just said, no holding in Eagles games.

And then he says screw it, you're not going to flag calls against me, I'll just kill the guy with his hands in my facemask.

He should be good by Sunday either way with what they can give him. Didn't Jones have a cold last SB? Maybe it's luck.

They made the videos from the games with AI as well I'm sure.

Speaking of made up..time to ask again about the "people said they will have a better chance if Hurts lose" post of yours. You never did give Mike a source. Interesting

And I think you've likely never competed in sports beyond a very intermediate level.

Micheal Jordan openly admits that he would make things up to give himself extra motivation and he's generally considered one of the best athletes...ever.

Same thing goes for Tom Brady. He's spoken about how he would think to himself about whether a player said something, disrespected him at all, etc as little things to add to that drive to win.

But what do they know?

He still practices medicine and is a practicing surgeon and has denied the accusations against him FWIW. I'm not saying he is or isn't guilty, just presenting the other side of it.

The allegations about the prescription abuse are the ones that haven't been proven.  I think there are several malpractice claims that are unsavory not necessarily because he made mistakes but because he prescribed these ice devices sold by his clinic that created significant issues including what was an amputation injury.  He had several substantial med-mal verdicts against him because of it.

Someone other than Hurts up front leading the charge?  Can't imagine RTK would sanction that sort of imagery.

Good news. Rams are the home team. We aren't playing there.

Alright then.

Regardless of if you think it’s just an organic "Michael Jordan” treatment for a super star QB, some mafia gamblers paying off refs for a big pay day, or some grand conspiracy for NFL marketing towards Taylor Swift fans, it’s beyond obvious that the refs are blatantly and flagrantly biased towards the Chiefs.

This is not a question of "if”, it’s a question of "why?”

The Eagles better put a bullet in their head like we did against the commanders, because a one score game the refs will obviously hand to the chiefs.

We know Embiid has already dictated to the Sixers he's not playing back-to-back.

If only the Sixers had dictated to him that he's not missing back-to-back .....
