That's already in the plans. I didn't mention it a few minutes ago for fear of this:

At the moment, Garrett is a better DE than Q is a CB.  Though when you factor in age, it does change their values

The Garrett thing is not likely happening, nor does it really need to.  I love this young core and don’t want to part with one (plus a 1st) for an older player no matter how special.  I think Carter will become even a bigger monster and Howie has been drafting well of late.

Eagles are already likely parting ways w/ Slay. I want Cooper to stay at nickel and not move outside.  Ringo and Rodgers have played ok in spots, but have a long way to go to have a Slay-esque career.  I want Q and Cooper here together long term

I hope they don't move Coop out of the slot. I would not be comfortable with any of our current corners just taking over the job across from Quinyon. If Slay is no longer here, you will need to find someone who can play at a high level. Probably not the way the team would go, but if another high level corner slips in the draft, you could have a very high level young corner group. Amos & Revel are very intriguing outside prospects.
I absolutely love Jahdae Baron but think he's another jack of all trades DB. Not sure if he would be a safety here or not.

Daughter of the late founder of the Bears (and one of the original founders of the APFA) - George Halas.  The NFL changed its name from the American Pro Football Association in 1922.   Virginia Halas McCaskey was born 6 months later.   She's been around since almost the very beginning.  End of an era.

When looking at these tables it is always important to look also at the number of players the teams have signed. For example, the Eagles have 49 signed while the Commanders have only 43 signed.

True, but I don't think they'll have much trouble getting 6 players to sign for that extra $60M.

Go 'head, Spags. Overload blitz onto the backside of one of these, and get cooked for 6 like every other DC in the playoffs.

I thought I qualified for that honor. At least that is what @Veejer always said.

Big Dom needs to spray Howie with a water bottle.

Burrow had a chance to do some serious rizz there

On Hurts beating the blitz... First example is a 5-man pressure that turns into a 6-man pressure when the playside backer goes green after keying on Barkley. Hurts sees it and hits Brown on the backside slant for an easy pitch and catch. Now Spags likes to bluff-bail way more often than most DCs (exception being Flores), so Hurts will have to be ready for that too, and hopefully doesn't throw it right into a closed window on Sunday. But big plays are there to be had if we can get the timing and reads right.

The second play is exactly what I don't want to see against the Chiefs, a tight-set, a long developing crosser, and Hurts having to roll out to buy time. The Pack got burned because they made the mistake of spying Hurts (I'd argue he's hardly worthy of wasting a defender for it.) If we see this again, that's usually an easy win for Spags who typically won't spy and instead prefers to get home with a free rusher from either side.

Ouch.  I suppose an apology is appropriate, it was a bit of an ad hominem attack, and it was completely unnecessary.   That said, I still believe that a line consisting of Jalen Carter and Myles Garrett automatically be catapulted to the greatest DL ever is extremely premature.  That's either extremely hyperbolic, or narrow viewed.  There have been a lot of great DLs in the history of the NFL, and several of them are actually better than the best line the Eagles have ever had, which I wouldn't automatically concede to a line of Carter, Garrett, Davis and Smith/Sweat.  They'd have a lot to prove to be elevated to that level.  The potential could be there, but the production would need to then back it up.  I personally never like to vault the potential of something over the legends of the game.    As I discussed early, the 70s had some great DLs, each with their own nicknames - Fearsome Foursome, Purple People Eaters, Steel Curtain and Doomsday Defense.   The style of the game is very different from today, and the rules have been changed dramatically, so its hard to do a proper comparison, but watching some video from that era would be potentially very interesting for you if you like line play.

@Swoop can you explain to me what #2 means?

I don’t either.  He would be released after the trade.  Including him would be all about the Cap savings it provides the Browns … gettin out from under their contract with him.

I don’t think they can get any cap savings… Didn’t they give him a fully guaranteed contract?

This is Fing amazing!! So great! Whoever did this nailed it
