I've been gladly eating crow about Howie spending more for Barkley all season

Though I think this is the exception and not the norm

A mid tier RB is a better investment than a mid tier WR.  A bottom of the barrel RB is a better investment than a bottom of the barrel WR.

Of course, a lot of this depends on the OL being full of studs.

That's a lot of beef.

In 1994, the Eagles put a massive whooping (40-8) on the 49ers in Charlie Garner's coming out party.  The 49ers went on to win the Super Bowl with Steve Young.  The Eagles started the season 7-2. Kotite gave Lurie (who was in his first year as owner) an ultimatum about wanting the contract extended past 1995 after they reached 7-2.  And then they lost their last 7 games to finish 7-9 and get Rich Kotite fired.  And if you remember... the final game ended in ridiculously absurd fashion against none other than the Cincinnati Bengals, in Cincinnati.  The last few minutes are absolutely worth watching!  Clown show on full display.

Lol, those last 3 seconds of the game were a microcosm of the last 7 games of that season.

Neither of those meanings pertain to Kobe, who is the person who made the list.  What was Kobe’s meaning?

That's honestly irrelevant. I was poking fun because yesterday I was told that players that use bulletin board material, outside sources, etc to fuel their drive even more "weren't great players to begin with" and that it didn't happen, when there are hundreds of examples of players across all sports doing so.

I saw a prop of a player over 300 pounds scoring a touchdown. That's a fun one.

Fat guy TDs are always fun... fat guy TD in the Super Bowl...

As fun as that was.... it still makes me sad that Payton never got a TD in that blow out.   He deserved better.

omg yes this is the perfect description of a cold

Many professional athletes have admitted that bulletin board material matters and gives extra motivation. The Jordan "and I took that personally" meme for example.

Lane Johnson did it recently.

Probably as good a shot at another one this game as any. Good DTs who can get sacks/force turnovers, and 2 teams willing to do trickery in the goal line offensively.

Men often are greedy, but given his published statement, I suspect that "often” won’t apply to him.  He has clearly stated that priority #1 is getting a ring.

I half expect him to stay in Cleveland with a sizable raise

Hey everyone, for the Super Bowl, let's do all of the Gameday stuff (at least during the game) in the Super Bowl Gameday Thread so that it's all in one place.

You might as well "Lock" every other thread because that will never happen.  DON'T GIVE THEM OPTIONS!!!

Forget the podcast but one of them stated the commanders beating them in Washington and how they celebrated gave them extra motivation and extra focus preparing for the nfc title game
