For those who believe in these sort of omens, went out for a walk today and had the pleasure of seeing 2 magpie birds at the same time - as the saying over here says, one for sorrow, two joy. I made sure to salute both just in case that makes any difference.

Mahomes hasn’t looked amazing this year (or last really) and he’s the opponent so to overly criticize Hurts for some of the same stuff seems hypocritical from media members.

 

Hurts certainly isn’t Mahomes but he was second in MVP voting 2 years ago and played amazing in his first Super Bowl. They act like dude is just along for the ride. His flaws are pointed out every time a media member speaks. They may be true but I don’t see other QBs flaws talked about ad nauseam. 
 
That said he better play his ass off today haha 

I mean, look, Hurts has strengths and weaknesses. Obviously he’s a dangerous runner and I actually think he’s an extremely accurate passer when in rhythm. He’s not McNabb throwing balls into the dirt — he can actually throw lead players and connect with them in stride. Throws a great deep ball as well.

When Hurts is playing to his full potential he’s a really good player. But unfortunately he’s inconsistent and his decision making can be infuriating. Cant have that if we want to win today.

Mahomes hasn’t had the best season, but he is carrying the offense. He has a mishmash of WRs, an aging star TE, a mediocre run game, and the left side of his OL is weak. If he had the talent Hurts has around him we all know he’d have thrown for 5,000 yards. And if Hurts had the players around him that Mahomes has, his team wouldn’t make the playoffs.

There's so many good moments from this season... but none better exemplifies the mentality that we need for this game than this from Jordan Mailata.

 

This game needs to be Bully Ball from the first whistle to the final gun.

I played this song when I brought my kids to their little league games in the year when both of my boys were on the same team.

Every game. We would show up to pre-game batting practice with that playing.

Team was only the 3rd ever undefeated team in the league. And they only gave up 9 runs the entire season. Just crushed kids.

Id always say, I feel sorry for your friends on the other team today, but theyre gonna have to lose today. 

The title of the song just says it all. So good.
