Been contemplating who'd we open up against on Thursday night.  Home games are DAL, NYG, WAS, DET, CHI, LAR, DEN, and LVR.

The NFL would want a competitive opponent, so rule out DAL, NYG, CHI, and LVR.  DEN has no juice.

The options would be DET - the matchup that never happened in 2024.  LAR - one play away from the division round upset.  WAS - a heated division rivalry is reborn.

Washington would be my guess.  They seem to love to go with either a Super Bowl rematch, or a Conference Championship rematch when they can.

Typically a HC opening means it’s a bad situation…Bears, Jags, Clev and Jets (Dallas this year and Giants next) are the ones you turn down as an established OC.  Kellen will have security for a bit there.  The saints kept Allen around for what, 3 years?  When it was obvious in his last HC gig that he wasn’t fit for that position.
