The lack of any fanfare or what seemed to be any order to the celebration and ceremony was really confusing. What happened to the commissioner or an ex-player walking the trophy out through the players all rubbing it and then handing it to the owner. We get an overhead view of the stage and then just Terry Bradshaw interviewing. Roger made a brief appearance but overall really bad.

They were disappointed they couldn't celebrate the 3 peat.

When the Chiefs won last year they made a bigger spectacle. Travis with his annoying jabroni speeches. They would have not gone to commercial for the Chiefs this year.

Eagles barely got any respect, as usual. They'll be the best team in the league all year next year too, but the media will still talk about the Chiefs, Lions and Bills (they already have them ahead in the next season power rankings).

They always hate Philly, when they win they are forced to talk about them. Some guys on the shows today being forced to talk about them look said and disappointed. They aren't hyping up the Eagles. They would be brining a lot of energy to the Chiefs if they won. It's like a funeral.

I’m still out of my mind with this. Just utter domination.  @RememberTheKoy, I’m sure you won’t acknowledge this bc you’re a POS human being, but your ridiculous massaging of Hurt’s ballsack has proven to be correct. Not because you’re smart.  It’s bc you’re lucky. Nobody could have predicted how he barely managed games the entire season, and then turned the switch on when it mattered most.  His interception last night didn’t even piss me off. 3rd and 5. Pressure right in his face and he gave the receiver a chance. It was basically a punt.  This roster is insane, and it truly feels like he’s the right guy to lead it. Just unreal. Also, I hate you.

It was clear his entire career that he is this level of player.

Howie szn began quite a while ago.  Yesterday was a day off for him to celebrate.  He is at work as we speak.

Free agency negotiation window starts 4 weeks from today.  Howie generally tries to get the roster into a position where there are no obvious "needs" going into the draft.

Baun, Becton, Williams, and Sweat are the big pending UFAs.  I think the Eagles lose a couple of those players (likely Williams and Sweat).  I would expect a veteran DL signing in free agency to compensate for losing those two along with Brandon Graham.

Re-watching some post game interviews and BG revealed they never had victory mondays this season. I hear from every player about the work they put in and how much more they felt they had done than in the past. Everyone talking about team team team. Just very different from last year where they never seemed to be on the same page.

You can see the bond this team has and that they genuinely care about each other.

Makes you wonder if some of the guys from last year's team that aren't here anymore maybe werent team guys and causing some problems.  Guys like Reddick, Byard to name a couple.

What possible ref control is he talking about? Was it the personal foul on Barkley?

"I know our defense is really good, but even though the Chiefs offense was mediocre in the regular season, Mahomes and Reid are a different animal in the playoffs!"

The animal:

Regardless of what you want to say about Hurts, he has put up 2 excellent performances in 2 Superbowls. There's something to be said about a player who shows up when the stage is biggest.  Hell Eli Manning is on the HOF ballot for just that.

Speaking of that play… In Super Bowl LII, Kevin Harlan had the great call after the Philly Special, "What did we just see?!?!”  After that TD bomb, Harlan’s call was saying "And that might make it insurmountable!!!” It is so awesome!

This is on my celebration playlist. A Texas band singing about the brotherly shove. 🤝

@Joe Ball will tell you that Frank and Dusty are from Dallas.  Billy went to my HS in Houston.

Jalen Carter>Jerome Brown. Look at the kind of OL Brown played against compared to what Carter is going against. OL today are freaks. Taking nothing away from Brown's legacy. Carter is already better and is going to be one of the best if he keeps

Agreed with Carter over Brown at this point, but if we’re comparing this DL to that one… you have to start at the top of them both.

White/Carter

Brown/ Williams or Davis

The pick 6 reactions are just...mmmm so goodScreenshot_20250210-102524.thumb.png.9a5b5c3a6000b6e4ca89cf1302b56cbe.png

Back when extemeskins was still a thing and the fanbase still had delusional hope, thats the exact post you would see there.  Or at least, following "The genius of [why we let that s*** play happen]...."

I really think that might be the most dominant performance in SB history. This isn't the Niners dynasty or Cowboys beating up on some try hard. This is the Eagles who were underdogs beating the ever loving crap out of the dynastic Chiefs. They were up 40-6 with just over 3 minutes to go. 40 to Fing 6. Against a team nobody could seem to beat and that had black magic luck.

I don't think anything in SB history compares. Even the Seahawks beating the Broncos, that Broncos team was not some dynasty.

Unfortunately either Sweat or Williams will be leaving. I've been a big advocate for keeping Milton and drafting a DE in the 1st rd. Sweat made this decision harder after his performance. It's a loaded DT class and we still have Davis. I still want to see Williams back

Sweat has had ups and downs, Williams continues to rise. I would rather keep Williams and let Sweat walk, but they must draft a top prospect DE as well. They have the pass rush specialists in Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt should contribute more in his 2nd season. Re-signing Baun is of course a priority. If I had to pick one to let walk, it would be Sweat. Granted, you're losing BG as well. Tough decisions.

So, can we all finally agree that Hurts is a good QB?  Anyone going to continue to say "Hurts is not a good QB"?

Maybe not top-ten when you are ranking QBs as passers.  But Hurts plays the position differently in this offense.

He's a keeper here.

It's a testament to Hurts on how hard he's worked to develop his game since then.  His freshman season at Alabama he was strictly a running QB; could hardly put the ball in the air effectively at all.  The benching was appropriate; Tua was a much more accomplished passer at that time.  When Tua got injured in the CFP the following season I remember thinking "they're done now; Hurts has to come in".  Hurts came in and made some huge throws to bring them back and I thought "wow; this guy has come a long way as a player'".  The following season at Oklahoma he developed even more under Lincoln Riley.  He picked right up where Mayfield and Murray left off and kept OU in the conversation for a CFP spot.  Finished second in Heisman Trophy voting.

Give him tons of credit for all he has accomplished.  He was drafted to the right spot, just as Mahomes and Lamar Jackson were.  He's now been a starting QB in two Super Bowls, played very well in both, and is a Super Bowl champion.  His resume among active QBs is likely #2 to Mahomes (maybe #3 if you believe regular season MVP carries a bunch of weight -- Lamar still hasn't gotten it done in the playoffs)

I was confident, but not that confident even with a 17 pt lead, knowing that we blew a 10 pt lead to that same team in the same game 2 years prior. But after the Baun pick deep in their own territory, I knew we had broken their spirits and the game was all but over right then.

Yeah, that's the moment I really started to see it as over already.  There was a nagging feeling that it might not be, but then the drop by Hopkins on the ensuing possession that would have maybe allowed them to move down for a FG late...

and then the quick 3 and out on offense to start the 2nd half.   That's when the realization came and it was just a matter of waiting out the inevitable.

This is the reason so many of us are critical of him when he doesn't play his best games. We KNOW what he can be. He showed it years ago. He can be frustrating at times, and there were a few games this year that were very frustrating. Remember, criticism doesn't equal hate.

Last night is exactly what we want from him. He spread the ball around, was dropping dimes and decisive when it was time to run. He didn't do any of his circle back scrambles, rather he darted up the middle when the pocket collapsed. It was a masterpiece from him. THIS is the Hurts we want to see every week.

Hurts is a really good football player.

It was a BS flag, but the one in the next Eagles drive for the incidental helmet contact to Goedert was equally BS for pretty much the same reason.  Neither should have been called and after those two questionable calls, the refs called a good game.

It was OPI, you saw the DB’s head move.  Those two calls sent a message.  No hands to the face.
