Regardless of what you want to say about Hurts, he has put up 2 excellent performances in 2 Superbowls. There's something to be said about a player who shows up when the stage is biggest.  Hell Eli Manning is on the HOF ballot for just that.

Not just two excellent performances but largely outplayed the 2nd best QB ever in both performances.

Sweat has had ups and downs, Williams continues to rise. I would rather keep Williams and let Sweat walk, but they must draft a top prospect DE as well. They have the pass rush specialists in Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt should contribute more in his 2nd season. Re-signing Baun is of course a priority. If I had to pick one to let walk, it would be Sweat. Granted, you're losing BG as well. Tough decisions.

Nolan Smith is a pass rush specialist?

Yeah, despite the outcome, I was actually a bit shocked at the number of pass plays called in the second half.

They stacked the line so heavily, it was really the only way to consistently pick up first downs and keep the clock moving.  The play that really shocked me was the dagger shot to Smitty.

My dad is walking around my house mocking Andy Reid with his "how about them......CHIEFS" to "How about them....Birds"

The OPI on Brown, followed by the PF hit to the head on Goedert were the only two calls that you can argue.    Maybe... MAYBE, the late hit on Barkley, but frankly, that was a cheap shot taken against our best player.   And in a blowout type game, player safety matters.  I'm glad the Chiefs didn't take any more liberties after that.

That is the kind of team and coach you want to keep playing for.

There were 2 bad calls the entire game - the first two - one against us and one against them.  Other than that it was officiated perfectly fine.

Yup

this is the worst hit I have ever seen him take 😭

It was clear his entire career that he is this level of player.

Exactly the type of response I would expect from you. Congrats man. Best QB in Eagles franchise history.

devonta is exceptional.

Yes he is and not enough of the national media know it.

Gonna miss BG. Glad he got to ride off into the sunset a champion

Time will tell if his chariot is a pumpkin.

I really think that might be the most dominant performance in SB history. This isn't the Niners dynasty or Cowboys beating up on some try hard. This is the Eagles who were underdogs beating the ever loving crap out of the dynastic Chiefs. They were up 40-6 with just over 3 minutes to go. 40 to Fing 6. Against a team nobody could seem to beat and that had black magic luck.

I don't think anything in SB history compares. Even the Seahawks beating the Broncos, that Broncos team was not some dynasty.

Another way to look at the dominance.  When the Eagles took a 34-0 lead with 18 minutes left, the Chiefs had 45 yards of total offense.  45 freaking yards 42 minutes into the game.

Can’t help but laugh about what’s going on in his brain right now.  Need to increase the therapy sessions to at least twice a week now. 😂😂

Also loving Foles getting feisty, roasting Brady and having fun with it. He and Brady are friendly, made that commercial too.

Sweat is likely to leave.  His SB performance should earn him a fat pay date.  They should keep Williams, he has performed well and a key one in the DT rotation.

The young DEs should be fine.  BG, if he is back, won't be a every down player.  They need to add a vet DE to the mix. The Brown's one would be nice, though very costly.

Baun is a must.

Howie szn began quite a while ago.  Yesterday was a day off for him to celebrate.  He is at work as we speak.

I forget the reporter tweet I saw last week, I posted it somewhere here I think. Reported that Howie was already looking at the offseason plan.

One factor in going deep in the playoffs and winning the SB (we finally know what that's like twice!), is that your offseason starts later. So the scouts and personnel department have to be thinking about offseason while the team is still playing.

Howie grew and improved over the years. This offseason has tough decisions. But I like that he's focused. This team will be ripe to repeat next year.

Agreed, had to throw it. They sold out to stop Barkley (and they did a good job), props to Kellen Moore. Liked that he start getting Barkley outside on swing passes. Nice adjustment.

Schedule is going to be ridiculously hard.

If the Eagles struggle to bring their own guys back, the will have to bring some outside players in.

Azeez Ojulari could be an interesting name to keep an eye on.

It's a nice feeling to join the 2x Superbowl champs list.

I know people close to me who are Atlanta and Buffalo fans and you can see their pain when they know they haven't won a Superbowl.

There was the missed roughing on the fumble as well, but that would not have changed the outcome, they were dominated.

Makes you wonder if some of the guys from last year's team that aren't here anymore maybe werent team guys and causing some problems.  Guys like Reddick, Byard to name a couple.

Some defensive players last year said that there was lack of accountability. If I recall, there were reports that the Georgia players were used to winning culture and accountability and it wasn't there.

Twice this week Hurts gave credit to the Georgia guys for bringing culture of team and winning. He said there are others, but that the connection they had spread to the team.

Fangio also brought accountability and toughness. Adding Q and DeJean who fit that mentality as well. Baun is a hard worker and had to earn it. Blankenship an undrafted free agent who rose to a starter. Other examples.  I love the entire mentality of this defense.

So happy for Trotter, the pride he must have in his son.
