Oh man, could you imagine people doing that with our current starting QB in the middle of a playoff run instead of just former QBs? That must be a bit annoying

One thing that I don't think I've seen mentioned anywhere by anyone...   Barkley may not have been the factor we thought in the ground game, but his impact in the passing game cannot be overstated.   His blitz pickups against Spags' blitz looks made everything possible.  I don't think I saw a missed assignment from him, he wasn't beaten on a pass rush.    Just a great game by Barkley.

It was like having an extra lineman! He and vic fangio with the draft picks changed how this franchise played second half of the season. Barkley's impact reminds me of priest Holmes impact in kc when the offense was based around him. The man can do everything and this line gives him that option

Looking at flying out for the parade this Friday. I seriously regretted not getting to go to the parade after our first win, but I just didn’t have the money.

Flights to Philly from my state are at least $700 right now, but I have a friend that lives 30 min from Philly that would let me crash at their place.

Its a lot of money but like, man who knows when the next time they win another Super Bowl  or if they ever do. But my dog has been having medical issues, already cost me nearly 3k in last month. Doing a lot better now, has a follow up appt tomorrow. If they say she’s fine I might buy the ticket tomorrow

If you can, try flying into any airport but Philly. It is incredibly expensive to fly in and out of, but the surrounding airports are more reasonable.

This win all but confirms that the nfl gave the chiefs a helping hand all season. No way a 15-2 teams get this bad overnight. They looked really pedestrian all year on offense but nothing like this.

I'm going to disagree with that.   Either that or the NFL helped the Broncos back in SB 48, or the Patriots when the Bears took them to the woodshed, or the Chargers when the 49ers gave them a shellacking in 1994, or the Broncos again when the Redskins smashed them in 1987.

A beat down in the Super Bowl isn't a new phenomenon.  It was commonplace back in the day, especially in the late 80s, early 90s.

It takes about a half hour to walk from Rittenhouse to the Art Museum.  You could walk up 20th/21st/22nd from there or go over to the River Walk for a nicer view of the city.

I wouldn't consider driving to get close.  They cut off most of the area streets for Parkway events.

Oh....I know how long the walk lol, I literally grew up there and we would walk down 22nd and play football as kids on the fields on the Parkway.  I was just thinking about parking logistics.  I normally come into the city via Ben Franklin and come up Vine St expressway but with all the crazy and trying to cross Broad...was thinking Walt Wittman, to 76 to South Street, drive over to moms at 18th and Pine and Park (there is a lot right there, don't even f around).  Walk on over to the Parkway/Art Museum and then come back for late lunch/early dinner at Parc on the Square.

To anyone that went last time, how early do you actually have to get to the Art Museum area to have a shot at a view of the stage?

If I was to drive, I’d park on the west side of the schulykill by Drexel and walk over the Springgarden st bridge.

No, it wasn't. We have the benefit of an above head camera view. When you watch the video you can see Carson Wentz engaged in multiple handshakes when Hurts is talking to Mahomes. Wentz turns to talk to another guy and walks in that direction which was away from Hurts. It's a madhouse on the field after the Super Bowl.

People are trying way too hard to hate the guy.

People already hate the guy.  They are seeking reasons to validate that hate.

That's kind of what I was thinking...like a sneak attack from the backside instead of walking all the way over from 18th and Pine.

Whats the LB franchise tag?

More expensive and limiting than if Howie just works out a new deal that offers him the cap flexibility he always wants to have.   I don't see a franchise tag being used while Howie is the GM.  That's not his MO at all.

Thought Philly was quite subdued yesterday overall. We headed to Chickies in the afternoon and they were expecting it to be really busy but actually it was pretty quiet.

Hangover

How long are you going to stay in Philly?  Hopefully long enough for the parade.

So thinking of driving in to Philly, mom still lives off of Rittenhouse square so park over by her....then have the Mrs. and oldest daughter walk down to the Parkway/Art Museum.  Did anyone go to the first parade and have any recommendations on logistics?  Like when should you get there, easiest way to access/view?  I mean I could go to just like Broad and Pine and watch them go by but that seems lame.  And then I was kind of thinking, there used to be parking along the East River Drive, do you work your way back towards the Art Museum on the drive and park there and then walk down?

Edited lol, sorry..showing my age, Kelly Drive!  But go up 76 to Girard, cut across and come back down was what I was thinking..

I'll be honest and say that your best bet might be to park in the burbs and take SEPTA in.  The traffic is likely to be looney on the way in, and beyond crazy on the way out.  If you are coming down from NY... Amtrak would get you to 30th Street station, and that's a stone's throw from the Parkway, if that's the route they plan to go with this time.  2018 the route was up Broad St, then up the Parkway culminating at the Art Museum.   Frankly, I don't see why they would choose a new route.  That route seems to be ideal, and the Parkway area near the Art Museum has that huge area for overflow crowds.

His silence was notable but I’m glad that he’s now spoken out. I’m sure the last 48 hours have been rather strange for him.

It's not as much of a highlight as guys like Baun Becton Sweat and Williams, but I bet Fred Johnson gets a decent payday.

We'll need a new backup tackle. Ideally a future Lane replacement who can redshirt a year.

Sadly not bud. I stupidly thought the parade would be yesterday (in the UK most sport team celebrations are the next day) so I booked for us to stay until today. We fly out this evening.

This would be option 2, IMO.  Train would easily be option 1 coming from NY.

When should I target getting to the Art Museum area in between Stupid Early and Too F'ing Late?
