Kelly Green Dark Mode. The only one that makes sense to use

Ok, I'm having Mark help with getting that image in place, so I'll ask him to swap out the current one with the new one. The current one has The Vet included, but I think the Lombardi's will look better in place of The Vet. Having both would look cluttered.

As cool as that is, it's also why I'm not worried about losing Kellen Moore.

Wait, he said tight ends, as in plural? That makes no sense because someone would have to line up on the LOS outside of Mailata otherwise he'd have to declare as eligible. If it's actually true that the tight ends should've been to the right, then maybe Smitty needed to be on the left? I don't know, but I actually think the play design works better as it unfolded becase the TEs pulled two defenders into traffic and the mike had no chance to fight through it to stick with AJ.

You are talking about Abdul Carter, right?  ;). He was involved in all of those issues, right?

We need to enlist expert photoshoppers with a variety of illegal substances and paraphernalia involved.

Any chance because DE class is so deep some of the top options (Williams, Green, Stewart) fall to us?

DT class is pretty deep as well

(we'll see what happens with Gainwell)

Do you think there would be a high demand in the marketplace for Gainwell?  That would surprise me.  What would it cost to keep him?  At what point is the number too much?

I'm honestly surprised someone hasn't gone to AI and spread fake photos in hope it tanks his draft

Actually come to think about it... I'm surprised that hasn't happened at all lately for top prospects. Or maybe it has and I haven't seen it

Anyone else wake up since Sunday with "Fly Eagles Fly" and/or "We Are The Champions" playing in your head or is it just me?

Woke up today mumble singing "Eat 'em up defense, eat 'em up. Eat 'em up defense, eat 'em up." :groovy:

I don’t agree with that.  There is a great section in the book, The Power of Habit, that talks about Dungy’s approach to changing habits.  I feel that Nussmeier and Moore did just that with Hurts and we saw changes pretty quick.  Gone were the fumbles and interceptions but we also saw Hurts accept some sacks, throw the ball away when appropriate and utilize the check down in his progression (while actually having a check down - looking at you Nick and Patullo).

I remember having a discussion about Hurts missing what appeared to be an open receiver he had obviously looked at but in truth he progressed past that receiver, who wasn’t open when Jalen looked at the next receiver in the progression.  I mentioned back then that I was seeing progress.  I think @just relax even put up some All22 film on that.

I do worry about losing Nuss.

I think with Hurts, he needs harder coaching than other QBs may do  Steichen was known for pushing Hurts, and we saw evidence of what that did in 2022 in the SB run.  Last year, not so much - for many reasons overall.

Nuss came with a great rep and the SB showed how much Hurts improved and grown over the season.  All involved deserve credit for that work and it highlights how important the next OC and QB coach is to the team. There is a gap in the NFC for a strong team to lead the pack.

Personally, I'm a bit surprised Shipley didn't supplant him as RB2 before the end of the season.  The Eagles like Gainwell and I feel like they make him an offer to stick around; I wouldn't want to pay him more than $2M though.

There really isn't much Nick can do to prevent assistants from being poached and promoted, unless if he just expects Moore to follow some sort of gentleman's code.

I don't think so, and he would probably re-sign on a team friendly deal. If he wanted to test the market, Howie would say good luck.

Where do people get those big chains with the eagles emblem? I can never find them. I would like to have that Super Bowl one  the kid is wearing.

Set your DVR's! And yes, I WILL watch every minute of all of those broadcasts, to include the NFLN broadcast.

Any interest in Chase Young as a rotational edge? I'm so-so on him. Of the "mid tier" edges, he and Fowler stand out the most. Otherwise, Eagles will probably need to go heavy in the draft there.

First off, I’d be inclined to look at OLBs from 3-4 teams. Chase Young is more a traditional 4-3 DE but, since we’re looking at Sweat moving on and Huff being a bust and BG maybe retiring, we would need a heftier guy on the edge against teams that run an outside zone or stretch or jet sweep to hold up. Young could be that guy. He can drop into coverage too, so definitely worth looking into.

Goedert was on the LOS. Calcaterra was lined up as a wing behind and outside him. You’re right, though. AJ ran free across the field but his man had to negotiate traffic.
