I’d also re-sign Maddox to a team friendly 1-yr deal. Might as well.

I can’t see that happening.  At Safety we have CJGJ and Reed as starters with Sidney, McCollum, and Cine as depth.  Maddox is behind all five of them.  At CB a similar abundance exists.

Watching Mic'd Up. We just went up 34-0!

I think we're gonna win! :excited:

On the Smitty TD someone told SIrriani "If we score here it’s over” and Nick said "Call that ish”.

Was it Kellen who said that?

So Siri did notice Mahomes was past the LOS on the one throw, but got told it was a good play.

Watching Mic'd Up from this SB.   Sirianni immediately starts counting the sacks.  I am curious about the discussions going into the game.  I wonder what they said about sacking Mahomes before it started.  They might have had a number in mind on what they needed to do to win the game.

I'm sure he didn't forget how they gloated about not giving up any sacks on the slip n slide in LVII.

They should wear some shirts that say "6 Sacks"

And by the way, you have now heard the annoying KC announcer

That makes sense.   I forgot about that.

Combined Total TDs for the last 20 SB MVP QBS

Hurts          42
Mahomes   33
Mahomes   52
Brady         54
Mahomes   40
Foles         12
Brady         35
Brady         44
Flacco       36
Eli              39
Rodgers    43
Brees         44
Eli              30
Peyton       39
Brady         29
Brady         20
Warner       50
Elway         27
Young        53
Aikman    32

Note:  Hurts would have 43 TDs as MVP in 2022 if the NFL did not slick the field and/or steal DeVonta's sideline catch.

Do we trust Kelee Ringo to be LCB in 2025? If so, CB is not a need. If yes, it becomes a big priority.

My answers don’t matter, but FWIW my answer to the first question is "Yes”

I didn't see, but I would think so.

Slay is back for 2025 IMO.

I agree.

I made the joke about that during the game but the Chiefs are dusted. This parade is about the Eagles.

The ref-aided dynasty is dead.

At the time I said to my honey "That’s past the line.  We were so far ahead Siri probably figured he would let it slide.  Good for the over.

The iconic part about this SB was the scoreboard.

24-0 at half time.

34-0 with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

40-6 with 2:58 left in the 4th quarter.

Those are the iconic moments, in addition to the DeJean pick 6, Smitty long TD, and the Tush Push TD (though that's common place for this team... in the SB its iconic).

And to think while the Eagles are up 34-0, KC had like 61 total yards.  I am certain there is no game that ever had been played where the final score and yardage was less of an indication of how the game went than this SB.

I'm also still stuck on RTK clowning himself in 2017 over all the Foles drama, just like many others still are. I guess that's weird too, but definitely not as weird as calling a football player a scumbag because he doesn't fit the profile of how you think he should play the game.

Fair enough

LMAO @ the KC PBP guy getting excited at Worthy catching a TD against double coverage!

Of course he neglected to mention it was against Sydney Brown and Tristian McCollum.

I actually brought this up with my friend who’s a big memorabilia collector. I was like they’re gonna have a really hard time finding photos from this game that are like iconic like the Philly special, ertz‘s diving for the end zone, Brandon Graham  strip sack, clement toe tapping TD, alshon’s catch. The autograph photos you’re likely going to get are cooper dejean pick 6, Milton Williams on the strip sack, Devonta Smith TD, Jalen hurts holding the trophy and Aj brown scoring a td. I’d pay for a Jalen Carter punching mahomes in the face auto tho

There's bound to be a great picture of Baun laying out parallel to the ground for his INT.

Any of you good with mixing/cutting audio/video? I have the 4K version of the SB but I want to cut out the commercials and possibly upgrade the audio because it's in 2 channels

I don't think I've watched a Lombardi presentation at a Super Bowl since LII, so I was a bit disappointed in how it went this time around. I was expecting a Hall of Fame player to take it down the gauntlet like Darrell Green did for LII.

Did anyone else think that the spraying of confetti was a bit delayed, too? Or was that just me?

Posted about it after it happened. The ceremony was so bad. There were more commercials than there was air time of the ceremony. No announcement of Hurts being MVP or anything. It was garbage.

I'm pretty sure this is the only SB with multiple last 5 minutes pity points when the D traded a score for time and then put in backups and went for it on 4th down with backups because it did not matter. Its a huge flex to tell the other team that nothing they can do matters.

The Raiders got a quick 13 vs Tampa but that was much earlier (late 3rd and early 4th) and 6 was on a blocked kick. Rice scored another 6 with 6 minutes and change to play to make it a 34-21 game before Gannon started handing out footballs.

You knew it was over when Jon Haam's voice cracked introducing the Chiefs.

Yeah.  I can imagine what Merrill would have said.    "TD Worthy, but who cares?   The Eagles were out of this game long ago.  A little too little, too late."   He's said as much in the past when the Eagles have been blown out.
