You knew it was over when Jon Haam's voice cracked introducing the Chiefs.

Yeah... I thought that was a bad sign for them.

2017 had more moments because it was back and forth…legend vs beloved backup QB.  That one will always be special because of that and because it was the first…and the Philly Special and all that too…

But this one is just as special (or at least very close) because it was such a complete beat down.  It was 40-6 before we put the reserves in vs Andy effing Reid and Mahomes.

We literally broke the Chiefs dynasty.  If you don’t believe me, watch them next season

For sure. It’s absolutely special and I’ll always remember the dismantling and domination. Not trying to take anything away from it.

It’s just with 2017, not even including the TD’s, I can see Brady dropping it. I can see Jenkins taking out Cooks.

Lane or Landon is my guess. Maybe Jordan

I think it would have to be someone on the 2017 team. It would be hilarious is it’s Jake Elliott or randomly Rick Lovato.

McLeod's tackle when Cooks tried to hurdle him?   So many moments in that game.   But this game was also so special in its own way.

Only thing that would top Elliott wearing that is if Elliott did a kelce type speech

Saquon Barkley is special man. Just watched the Mic'd Up. He's a calming force on the sideline. The entire game telling guys to stay cool. You could tell that was the message for the entire team too. The D breaking the huddle with "deep breath on 3" and then actually taking a deep breath was awesome. They knew it was their game from the first whistle. Excellent job from the coaches and players to not let the moment be too big.

I can’t see that happening.  At Safety we have CJGJ and Reed as starters with Sidney, McCollum, and Cine as depth.  Maddox is behind all five of them.  At CB a similar abundance exists.

I’m pretty sure Slay will be gone and I thought Rodgers was just on a 1 year deal?

So sick of this guy, he better not show his face at the parade.  Never seen a former Eagle be more miserable at the team's success without them.

He’s already an all time Eagle great. Don’t care that he’s only been here for one season. With the season he had culminating in a Super Bowl win, he belongs on that list.

Also Hurts is the ultimate pro and leader seeing how he interacted with an emotional DeVonta and AJ in that mic’d up when they came to him on the sideline. You can see why they’d kill for one another.

Rodgers is RFA

Can he play another year or will father time destroy him next season? I know he wants at least 1 more

The only LB under contract as of now is Trotter Jr. BVS is a RFA and coming off an injury, but should be healthy relatively soon. BVS is an interesting case. He might be better off at FB/ST ace. Having him as a Swiss army knife saves a roster spot though. He's far from a sure thing and again, isn't currently signed.

IMO, you have to bring back both Baun and Burks. Burks proved he's more than capable of filling in for Dean. Last year Burks signed a 1-year deal for $1.5 with the Eagles. His UFA deal with the 49ers in 2022 was a 2-year $5 million deal. He was 25 or 26 when he signed that deal. He turns 30 next month. I think the Eagles bring him back on another 1-year deal with a slight bump in salary. Maybe a 1-year $2-2.5 million deal?

I'd wager Dean doesn't play at all in 2025 and sadly, we may have seen his last game as an Eagle. Torn patellar tendons are worse injuries than torn ACLs. 2025 is the last year of his rookie deal. There's no guarantee that Dean is here after 2025. Let's hope he heals 100% and comes back at the same playing level he was but that seems like a long shot right now.

2025 LB- Baun (29), Burks(30), Trotter Jr.(23), BVS/rookie (Dean on PUP).

I just did a roster projection but the more I look at it, the more LB is a major need. I mentioned Danny Stutsman in a previous post too. He's a huge LB, but I think he could fill in quite nicely.

Oregon’s Jeffrey Bassa is a later round LB to have our eye on.

I'm convinced Nick told them to focus on the game and not do anything stupid to give the refs something to flag for

That was another one. It didn’t come to mind but you mentioning it brought it right back. I meant the hit when Cooks stalled and got blindsided by Jenkins and knocked out of the game.

You don’t need the tweets to come to that conclusion

Yeah... that was another great one.   Jenkins put Cooks to sleep before he hit the ground.

Their interview on the Jimmy Fallon Show was pretty solid. Barkley said that his favorite RB of all time is Marshall Faulk. He was drafted by the Colts but no one remembers him as a Colt, just a Ram. He said that even though the Giants drafted him, he wants his legacy to be as an Eagle.

Jalen Hurts is just an impressive human being. You could see Jimmy trying to break him and he's just always his steady self, a true old soul. Even when Jimmy Fallon wanted the OL, Saquon and Jalen to shotgun beer, Jalen didn't do it, he just poured his on Dickerson. I've been critical of Hurts when deserved over the course of the season, but absolutely love the kind of person he is.

Agreed in a page or two it became clear who he was talking about.  I’m with @Iggles_Phan this is a tempest in a teapot.

Yeah the podcast tweeted a congrats to the Eagles, and the Swifties cult were on them to disavow the Eagles, Jason to publicly address CJGJ's comments about Taylor, is this the kind of person he is and what he condones, etc. The mob/cancel culture mentality. They've taken over the podcast comment section. I stopped even watching their podcast last year. It used to be fun.

You are cutting off your nose to spite your face.
