Always obsessed with your favorite dessert...chocolate cream pie 🥧

Listen here Cliff Hematoma. One more outburst from you and I’ll sneak down to Baja Sur, disguise myself as a tiny roadrunner, and comb the beach for as many Portuguese Man O’Wars as I can find.  I’ll cleverly gather them all into 1 giant pile, at the bottom of el Sur, right outside your bungalow.  Then when you least expect it, as you stare out over the beautiful horizon sipping your morning coffee, I’ll meep meep the sheet out of you, and laugh as you plunge to your death into a cargo net of poisonous tentacles.

Make sense Fartson Wentz?

Top plays in franchise history, SB era?  (No particular order)

Philly Special
Graham strip sack of Brady
Corey Clement back of the end zone TD
Jeffery deep TD
Dejean pick 6
Baun int
Hurts to Smith SB
Williams/Carter destroy Mahomes
4th and 26
Barkley pounding his helmet in the snow on his long TD run
Barkley long TD run 1st play against Commanders
Willis to Troy Vincent lateral 104 yard pick 6 against Cowboys
Lito pick 6 in TO’s return to the Linc
Double doink
Jake Elliott 62 yard game winner NYG
Desean muffed punt return for TD against Giants

2004 and 2022 Eagles feel under-represented here.  They didn’t win it all, but any season that went to a SB should have something worth mentioning…

Individual amazing plays that were of minimal significance:
Dawkplex
Barkley backwards hurdle
One no one will remember but I always loved…Buckhalter somersaulting and flipping out of bounds while reaching around the pylon for the TD, against Miami in 2003.
Vick deep ball to Desean against Redskins
Randall to Fred Barnett against the Bills (a bit before my time)

Patrick Robinson pick six against the Vikings

Ertz 4th down catch in the SB

4th down "and they stop him again" stop of Emmitt Smith (minimal significance)

Herman Edwards miracle in the meadowlands

...and not sure how you missed this one

Wilbert's TD run against the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game

It's not the stats. It's the idiotic sacks, bailing from clean pockets, refusing to throw the ball away (ties in with the sacks). He did those things most games this year, and it was poo pooed because "he out played mahomes in the super bowl in 2022" and "we're winning games". The NFCCG and Super Bowl there was none of that, hell in the rams game he took us out of field goal range by taking a stupid sack.

Go back and look at the season again.  Starting with the week after the bye those things all but disappeared along with the TOs.  He still took an occasional idiotic sack but otherwise he was rock solid.  His progression was slow and steady and totally obvious. Finally, in the Steelers game, he was asked to perform and he did.

The injury in the Wash game was a temporary setback.  From there, he was awesome in the playoffs.  Everyone poo pooed the GB game but he stood patiently in the pocket on the 2nd play of the game and waited for Dotson to come free and then threw a perfect strike.  From there the Eagles simply managed the game and made sure to take care of the ball.  In the Rams game he was hurt again and was mediocre in the snow but didn't turn the ball over.  Then he had two awesome games.

The mistakes that plagued him in all of '23 went away during '24.  Not 100% but certainly enough to make them a non factor.  Will they return in '25?  They might.  Time will tell.

Fitz wasn't even close to a name I thought would be voting

Yeah, he was part of the Sky Sports team commentating and summarising for us over here along with Ndamukong Suh, so he kept getting asked who he'd be voting for.

Tbf, they both said if they were able to, they'd award it to the defense but Jalen was a worthy winner.

Man the scenes I’m seeing on the news for the parade… It’s 5:20am and they are packing out the train stations. Wish I was there.

52: Brady drop, Philly special, Graham strip sack have already withstood the test of time.  The Alshon and Clement deep passes were great but didn’t last over the years at a more popular level.

59: DeJean pick 6, Baun INT, Hurts dime to Smith, Williams/Carter Mahomes hit.  I suspect the Baun int and even the Hurts pass to Devonta will fade a bit and the real iconic plays from this one will be the pick 6 and the Williams/Carter destruction of Mahomes in slo-mo.

Exactly the 2 plays i would choose from each game👍

Counterpoint: Did the flea flicker dagger vs Minnesota fade over time? The Patrick Robinson pick 6 is always the play that pops in my mind first from that game, but second is the flea flicker because it was an exclamation point. The Smith TD was a complete "eff you, we’re ending this game right now” play. I think it will end up being the second most resonating play from the game.

Actually that's a great point.

For me, the 4th down stop and then the bomb was the Game Over moment.

All due respect to you guys but lets chill with the "ban hammer".  We've already lost 4-5 members who would post here regularly (albeit belligerent at times).

As long as members don't resort to severe personal attacks and/or threats, I can deal with it.  And so should most of us - this is a Football forum - it's a violent sport and yes, it can get the best of us at times.  Just go into this thread or the GameDay thread during any Eagles games and you'll read nonsense much worse than most of what RTK says.

My 2 Cents.  Moving on.

Those 4 idiots deserved to go, and this place is better for it.

Personally, I scroll past the trolling, but if it’s determined that someone’s sole purpose here is to try and stir up crap, they should be banned.

This is the best Eagles discussion on the internet and should be moderated that way.

It’s not for these losers that get some sick satisfaction by pissing people off and trolling.

They can take that nonsense to Reddit just like the 4 clowns that you mentioned.

I'm not sure what's worse.  The fact that I wrote that in the first place or that fact that it all popped into my head at 2:30 am, and I rolled over, typed it on my phone, then went back to bed.

I hate to judge an entire career by one single play, but it's gonna be tough for him to play well enough to erase this one from memory.

I wish the Chiefs radio call would have been included.  Anyone know where I can find highlights of those calls with the Chiefs broadcast?  I wanna hear the pain and suffering

As far as the blu-ray - I have it and it's definitely not the whole game.  If I recall it's highlights - it's been a while since I watched but it might be highlights and commentary from the entire season.  I'll have to watch it again.  I could be talking about two different discs too - I bought a bunch of stuff after that SB and can't remember

That's nasty that man, real nasty.

I love it 😁

After a slow start, he did pretty well til he got KO’d from the game. I wish Smitty got in on that pass before the half. Would have given him 3 on the day.

Getting ready to leave.....it's going to be crazy.  Plan is to watch from Broad Street (and around South) and just be part of it....going to be WAAAAAY to crazy by the Art Museum and coming from Central Jersey.....would have had to leave like yesterday lol  Plus, bringing the Mrs and my oldest daughter and then taking them to Parc for late lunch after for Valentines.

@Iggles_Phan several months ago you asked what NIL opportunities Eagles players might garner.  The graphic above shows one.

No.  I asked what NIL opportunities would be available for a guy like Zach Baun.  Saquon is an NFL icon, always has been.   But, let's go down the rabbit hole a little.  How much do you think Saquon got for that?  Did he get even $100k?   You were talking about multiple MILLIONS to make up for the potential difference in salary from Team X compared to the Eagles... and you have to factor in what NIL opportunities that same player could get in their new city, especially now that they are a Super Bowl champ.  That will sell in other cities.

I agree with your "if” but so far that "if” is only a possibility not a completed event.  Finished this sentence by filling in the blank, "If you do sign them they ______ a need.”
