You go on with your nonsense narratives. Just bc the dude is huge doesnt mean he can play tackle. He sucked at it in NY

Respectfully, I think you have swung the meritocracy pendulum way way too far to the right.  The reasons any player does not do well as a member of the Jets are not 100% on the back of the player.

I hope to have this god forsaken video done by the end of the weekend.

Tampering BS. We need to get a better pick from them like AZ had to do

 Touche. Has that actually happened before? I would think you just leave most of the starters in and just run the ball exclusively since the risk of injury is mostly meaningless. Haven't been too many blowouts in the super bowl where that would come into play. Maybe that niners one with Steve Young from way back?

Yeah, you'd have to go back to the late 80s, early 90s when the NFC would destroy the AFC.  Maybe the '85 Bears?

Can we get a coordinator in here who will actually focus on his job instead of planning his exit before the damn Super Bowl???

Wasn't Howie already sent to the broom closet with his red stapler when they drafted Marcus Smith?  I thought that was a Chip Kelly decision.

Howie took blame for Marcus Smith.

In that draft, Chip wanted Jordan Matthews in the 1st. Howie explained that he would be there in the 2nd (he was right about that). They also wanted a pass rusher and Howie thought there would be a run on the position so he convinced Chip they should take Smith.

Chip obviously influenced the picks he wanted for his scheme, but in 2014 Howie was still in charge.

It was about two blocks from my brother in law. Small plane but sounds like it did a ton of damage. Crazy.

Had just taken off, apparently, so full of fuel.  Was flying to Missouri... so a lot of fuel.

Screw the Chiefs. Rog, you better work on a rewrite of the script

Rush for 200 yards... plus 40 receiving yards = 3,000 yards all-purpose in the regular season and post-season.  He'd need less than 200 total if he hadn't slid against GB.  And crazy to think, he might have already hit 3000 had he not come out against the Giants in the first meeting and the Cowboys game.... let alone playing in the last regular season game.

And yet chip gets credit for Lane and Ertz. So if we go by that chip was in charge in 2013 and then 2014 howie took back over to draft Smith and then chip took back the reigns the following year 🙄

Well that came from Howie himself.

In the Chip years, Howie was picking in collaboration with Chip for the type of players he wanted. Chip wanted Dion Jordan. Everyone else thought take whichever of the top 3 OTs fall, and that ended up being Lane.

Howie has said the same for each Head Coach. Of course they're all going to give input to the draft board. It's not Draft Day where you piss off your HC on purpose, draft a guy to spite him.

I would have to assume you're right, simply because Chip seemed to actually hate Smith as a player and did everything in his power to keep him on the bench. That alone would suggest he was NOT his guy.

That pick sure seemed like it was contentious. Historically the Eagles have been very quick at making the decision and turning in their card right away (do they even actually do the card thing anymore?). But with Smith, they took it down to the final minute before making it official. It sure suggests that there was a lot of debate going on and they really didn't have a lot of conviction with what they were doing. I can only hope that Howie learned a lesson there. I suspect he did.

Something positive

I know, i just like how fans give chip 100% of the credit for lane and Ertz when they obviously collaborated and howie still had final say.

I don’t know why anyone would give Chip credit for Lane. Dion Jordan was clearly the guy Chip wanted.

They just did in the stoutland thread. I see it on here all the time.

Sorry if already posted but I heard an interesting stat on today's Locked on Eagles podcast.

Mahomes had 2 of his 9 worst EPAs against Fangio.  As an aside, Mahomes has only had 20 negative EPA games out of 131 starts.

While he went 0-8 against him, Fangio's Offenses did not once score more than 20 points against the Chiefs.

I knew the 0-8 but didn't know the rest.

Moore was interviewing last week and may have called his best game of the season against Washington. I’m assuming he verbally has the job from NO, but I don’t think that will take away his prep for next weekend. Fangio isn’t going anywhere and this game will come down to how well the defense can maintain KC’s offense. That’s the most important side of the ball. I trust the players and Nick’s culture to be locked in for the next week. But for Hurts’ and the rest of the offense’s sake, I’m tired of going into next season with their 4th OC in the past 4 seasons.

Well, from the above screenshot, it looks like it will be a bit more mainstream this time.  😉

You’re missing the point that the 3rd was traded away to the Commanders. And still, I disagree. The cost of trading for Pickett is the cost for trading for Pickett. He cost a pick swap and two 7ths. He doesn’t suddenly cost less because Howie made other independent moves.

Even by your definition you can’t say Pickett only cost two 7ths since we don’t know what the pick ultimately ends up being.

The two 7ths ended their respective lives as balancing entries (asset divestitures) for the asset acquisition of (1) Pickett and (2) the 4th Round pick.  Those two picks ceased being Eagles assets when the trade took place so they no longer had continuing future value.

This is straightforward portfolio management.  Any good Business School teaches it.

He had so many that game. It really sucks Jeffery couldn't hang onto the one and ended up putting an INT on Foles stat line.

Jeffery was being held, that should been PI. Arm was literally being pinned against him he was trying to catch it one handed
