It'd be amazing if the Eagles win on Sunday for many reasons. But knowing that the Sirianni / Hurts hate will be over is an excellent plus.

I know it wouldn't be completely over, but at least it'll be easier to deal with in very high spirits.

Well... the Doug hate didn't stop for very long.   Don't expect different with this iteration.  NFL (Not For Long), and around these parts, its a lot of 'what have you done for me lately'.

As it should be.   Good to see you around again!

I just ordered my House Call print. There are now only 5 first edition prints left in stock, or 2 framed ones. All canvases are gone. If anyone was interested in this, act soon. There were 12 when I started watching this morning.

Let's go... Process 2.0. :towel:.   Love the NBA season when the biggest night of the year is the ping pong balls being revealed!!!

Sixers are a failure of an organization, and I'd like to thank Josh Harris for his contributions to that.

Could be a 3 way where Butler comes here. George goes to GS, and Heat get.... something from both teams. Not sure what Butler's value is at this point.

Remember, the 6ers got him cheap the 1st time around because of his reputation as a discontent. Hes doing that stuff again. I cant imagine his value is high not that hes also pretty washed.

So... why bring him in?

Absolutely. Trading for Butler is not about having him here. Its about the amnesty. It is THE ideal move the 6ers can make at this deadline.

IF they can get out of that Paul George/Jimmy Butler contract, they should unload the rest of whoever they can for picks. Its time to start loading up for the post-embiid era.

Ah.

Williams has been the better and more consistent player than Davis. There's no guarantee Davis gets an extension

Agreed. But Davis may come much cheaper and I'm thinking increases snap counts with Williams gone. Also, think they  want to keep that Georgia Bulldog group together, which would make Carter happy.

Don't forget to give Joel credit for that too.  Never wanted to work hard, get his body in shape, nutrition, etc.

Can also use butler in the offseason as an expiring contract to match up salaries in a deal. I’d try to deal some guys to get as much draft assets as possible but I’m guessing the sixers refuse to go that route.

Can also blame Simmons for never wanting to learn to shoot, colangelo with burner gate and trading assets away for fultz and euro stashes with some assets and Horford and Tobias contract disasters. It’s was an organizational effort.

Even with all those things, Joel being in shape and available with this roster would have been good enough for a run.  He gets the majority of the blame since he takes up the most space and did the least amount of work.

And we are back to banning it even though other teams haven’t yet mastered it like we have

Baun & Becton stay. Everyone else is gone. Think there will be some trades as well. If Slay wants to keep playing he's one. The other one. AJ Brown going to Pats with Vrabel there now. They will give Howie  a deal he can't refuse. Similar to Tyreek package. Pats will team him up with Tee Higgins as they overpay the eff out of him and jumpstart that franchise. They have tons of cap space. This has a chance of being another historic off season for Howie. Especially if he lands Myles.

Packers are SOFT

i think giving Harris and Horford horrific contracts (massive wastes of money and hindered roster construction around Embiid), simmons, fultz, letting butler walk, trading away bridges, hiring doc rivers and colangelo are big issues. I’d argue the Harris, Horford, trading away bridges, Simmons imploding and hiring Colangelo were bigger issues than Embiid. Embiid has his issues and not blameless in this. He deserves blame as well but you knew when you drafted him his career was likely marred by injuries and not being overly long. So you really couldn’t F up as much as they did and expect it to end well. Sixers and Harris have Fed up besides maxey and some minor moves at nearly every turn. Embiid deserves criticism for not being in shape in his career but i put blame on other things over him. Harris and the dysfunction that went on completely wasted his mvp years with inferior teams around him and he wasted years just not being seriously committed to his body.

imo Sixers are in an even worse spot if they didn’t have basketball gods watching out for them when muscala hit that shot so they could have the Maxey draft pick. If muscala doesn’t hit that shot all the assets that Hinkie acquired led to essentially just Embiid. That’d have been a shitload of assets pissed away for nothing good in return

Milton Williams gets single-blocked a ton + has an elite coverage group behind him. He's a good player, but at best the 3rd best player on our DL. Ojomo can take some of his snaps next year and we should be ok. We could also kick Graham inside next year (assuming no retirement).

Garrett is a different animal. You have to double-him. If we add him + Carter, either one gets singled-up OR we're playing 7 against 4 receivers all the time. Advantage us.

Garrett would be awesome but you're giving up this years first plus say next years 2nd just to even enter a discussion. Then he is going to be paid. And we have to pay Carter a mega contract, as well as others who need to be re-upped. I just don't see how it's possible.

Watch Washington go after him. They have 11 draft picks this year plus a cool 100 mil under the cap.

He was a name the Eagles could've had interest in.

The NFL opted to skip those Super Bowls, they didn't happen. They don't exist.

This year's first isn't even a good one for them. I don't think #31/32 and a future second even gets serious consideration.

"He was selective and lands in Houston."

Seems strange to read that.

I'm going with Eagles 27, Chiefs 24.

This game will be lower scoring than SB 57 two years ago for a few reasons:

-- Eagles defense is better

-- Chiefs offense isn't as good

-- Eagles will use the run game much more efficiently and the game becomes a bit shorter organically; also keeps Mahomes off the field.

I keep having the feeling this game will come down to the last 60-70 seconds with the Eagles having a 3-point lead and the ball.  They get to a 4th and 3 knowing if they punt the ball back to Kansas City it might mean losing the Super Bowl -- even though their defense has been much better at holding leads.  I see a successful last-minute 4th down gamble sealing the game for the Eagles in this one.

There was a rule at one point that you couldn’t assist the runner, right… so now aside from the push we also have moving scrums at the end of run plays. I’d be fine if they reverted back, as we’d still be an A+ QB ‘sneak’ team. It’s what the OL is doing that makes it special.

Well, pulled the trigger. Sitting behind Eagles bench at around the ~20.
