Kupp shouldn't be that expensive to trade for. 4th rd pick that can turn into a 3rd should get it done. Rams are desperate to unload him. He's older and has been dealing with injuries the past few years. Cooper didn't work out that well for them

I expected alot more from Cooper. Wonder if he was ever healthy

It didn't look like it. Didn't he miss the first 2 games after they traded for him?

LOL I’ve been stuck outta my account forever, glad to get that fixed and rejoin you guys.

Thats what I said in the next sentence (minus the Cowboys game).

Regardless, I don’t expect them to run him into the ground as much next year and would expect more RB2 carries as well as more passing. They have the pieces in place to sustain this window and shouldn’t rely on Barkley carrying the entire load for a second straight season which means 2,000 yards again is unlikely.

Most definitely.  I said earlier... 15-18 carries should be his limit in the regular season.   But this season wasn't a case of 'barely' breaking the record.  There was still a lot of meat left on that bone... and 3,000 yards from scrimmage was really possible if he hadn't slid against the Packers, come out against the Giants in game 1 and the Cowboys.   But, that's fine.  2857 is quite a record in its own right.  That won't be touched for quite some time.

Did it means paying 5 out of 5 OL top of the market deals. We did not do that. Not to mention Jurgens was on a rookie deal.

We got the talent on the field. Keeping it together is a matter of your priorities.

It is my highest priority.

Haha yes, the first half of my username never died. Also I gave up after a while because the forget password reset wouldn’t send to my email. It worked this time and I’m here to stay lol

I would have to ask some others, but maybe the 70s Raiders.  4 Hall of Famers... Art Shell, Gene Upshaw, Jim Otto and Bob Brown.   That would be tough to beat.  That was before my time though.

Yeah, Washington is as far back as I remember.

But I’d put us on par with 90’s Dallas, which many people consider the greatest OL ever.

It will be annoying if Wash gets him, but also dumb for them. They need to build an OL for daniels

I'm hoping they do it.  Will have to give up draft picks they need for Oline, corner, and WR and eat up cap for a 30 year old who will definitely want a huge extension.

Maybe a board problem? @VaBeach_Eagle

They have 70 plus mil to give him. Let them make that mistake

Well, he turned 6th rd into HOF center, Mathis into allpro LG, Seumalo (3rd rd) into solid starting RG, Vaetai (5th rd) into solid swing OT.

You completely miss my point. Give him straw and he can make bricks but give him stone and he can build walls. When you have a great coach, give him the best material to work with. Those guys you mentioned were never this good. Also, Evan Mathis was coached to all pro level by Howard Mudd, not Jeff Stoutland.

Vaitai was a 5th rounder.

Seumalo was a 3rd rounder.

We won a Superbowl with them.

Steen (though the jury is still out in terms of being a starter) was a 3rd rounder.

He helped Kelce, a 6th rounder, become one of the best centers in football.

We can likely draft a guard in the 2nd round that he can mold if you're worried about it. I have my doubts about them drafting a stud LB again.

The Eagles have routinely had a good offensive line. The Eagles have not routinely had good linebacker play.

Sigh. This O line is not good.

We had a pretty solid offensive line for years now. Okay, this one may be a hair better. In 2023, the defense laid out on the field all game giving up long a** drives. The offensive line was somewhat neutralized. So you can have Bectons everywhere it won't matter, if your defense is even middle of the pack, which is definitely possible with no Baun and the loss of defensive linemen here. This is going to all have a cumulative effect losing too many parts here and stunt a lot of the good and growth that we developed last year.

One of my favorite videos:

Browns receive:

2025 1st

2025 3rd

2026 2nd

2027 5th round pick

Kenny Pickett

Eagles receive:

Myles Garrett

2027 6th round pick

I'd take him

These UFAs are interesting thought diversions but since each one signed offsets a UFA lost, they really aren’t realistic to consider.  Better to bring a UFA like Brandon Graham back for a year.

Chase Young had 66 pressures which was 7th out of 211 edge rushers, and still only 26 at the start of next year

I’m willing to have a friendly bet with you.  My prop is that Baun signs for less than 3/39.

Are you game?

I said barely getting more than 2,000 rushing in the regular season, not the all season record.

Baum >>>>> Becton and it is not even close...we need the D to hold out when the offense will struggle and it will  struggle with or without Becton...it will be defense that will ultimately decide wether next season Can be success

I understand your logic, but respectfully disagree.  The Offense has a whole season under its belt.  Becton is the only possible loss personnel wise.  I expect much more cohesion and consistency in 2026.

Late to the convo…

* I readily admit we are buying at the highest of values and Baun will almost assuredly not have the same impact next year as he did this season. I don’t care. You pay him anything within reason and that can be gotten out of after two years. If we lose him, we are breaking in two LBs next year as Dean likely won’t be ready at the start of the year or not close to what he was in 2024. Maybe Fangio can find magic again, but I don’t want to risk it.

* Becton made a great transition to guard, and maybe I am overselling his issues with mishandling stunts and blitzes since he was in his first year playing inside. If he takes a team-friendly deal, re-sign him. If a team wants to pay him top dollar because of his youth and pedigree, so be it. Roll with Steen and a rookie or another reclamation project. I trust Stout.

* I was probably the biggest Milton Williams fan on the board when we drafted him, but I’m fine letting him walk. I think he’s a great sidekick to a star DT, but will be paid like he’s the star. I doubt he’ll live up to the contract elsewhere.

* Slay is as good as gone IMO. He had a helluva run here. It’s funny to think back on the amount of people who thought it was dumb to trade a 3 for him. Now it’s time to bet against a player his age. Whether it’s Rodgers, Ringo, a rookie or FA, it will be overwhelmingly difficult for that player to match Slay’s 2024 season. Honestly, I’m not sure Mitchell and DeJean can even be as lights out as they were this year.  Anyway, Slay being a risk at his age combined with being only a one-year player… it makes sense to put that money elsewhere.
