I still really like Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma. Nice LB prospect and great leader.

I just received my 2nd SB shirt from the Fanatics link above @VaBeach_Eagle.  My first one was the generic green Nike with the Lombardi on it, and it’s a pretty cheap shirt.  I posted a few weeks ago that I’m scared to wash it.  😂

However, I just got my 2nd shirt, the light cream-colored sweatshirt/fleece that looks a lot like the pullovers the players wore during their after game pressers. I was wondering why this sweatshirt cost $140, but it’s amazing.  It feels like it’s made from silk astroturf. The LIX logo and the Nike logo are so obnoxious and huge too, which I love.  With 2 daughters, ages 3 and 1/2 and 1 and 1/2, I’m legitimately scared to wear it. 😂

They look awesome.  So, you highly recommend? Aside from the fact that yours is destined to be stained in the next 4 to 7 minutes by the littles?

Just not sure he has the physical ability to be a starter

This sounds like he has no intention to play for the ishy Giants and Raiders and wants some type of leverage with the Rams

Wasn't exactly  a ringing endorsement of a return to LA.  Beat thing for Eagles is for him to be traded and take the Rams out of the picture as a NFC threat.

Stafford wants a new contract. Rams said "go find one” and now he’s "mulling” whether to leave while also saying a return is possible. That is clearly coming from his agency to save face while using their last bit of leverage.

There are still hard feelings from last year’s contract negotiations as well.  The solution is two years at $50M AAV; the Rams are the kind of organization who outsmart themselves

Interesting to hear Greg Cosell rank Tyler Shough as the second best QB in this year’s draft (at least from the tape).  Can’t say I disagree .  It’s really too bad Shough hasn’t been able to stay healthy, and the durability concerns will likely make him a late round pick.

He got screwed over at Oregon by an idiot head coach, and couldn’t stay healthy at Texas Tech.

Yes I think Howie trades down. There will be a guy everyone is glad dropped and Howie will trade down. It is destiny

I can definitely see a trade down if they get a steal like next year's 1 of a 2 this year and a 2 next year to let someone jump up for a QB they love.

Yup. He’s a really, really good player. Would be a perfect fit for Fangio with his pass rushing and coverage ability.

But ultimately that’s why he won’t drop to us.

That said, the thought of him and Baun patrolling the middle together for 3 or 4 years has me salivating.

We never thought Mitch would drop let alone Coop in the 2nd.

I see the Buccaneers taking Campbell at 19 in alot of the simulators. A few mocks having him there too.

How much draft capital would it take to leapfrog them?

Expecting juicy compensatory picks in 2026 so get wild.

Edit:

Seahawks Pick 18=900 pts

Eagles Pick 32=590 pts

Difference of 310.

Why?  Serious question.  I respect your opinion.

Overall issues with paying Becton

  • We can't pay everyone and paying Becton would mean paying 5 starters on the OL real money. I'd rather pay another EDGE.
  • Having no young OL is also a problem long-term
  • I would argue that the way we run our offense, RG is the least important position.
  • If there's one position where we can find low-cost options and succeed, it's OL due to Stoutland
  • Becton's injury history is still very real
  • Becton's struggled with his weight in the NFL. It's fine to bank on that in a contract year, but how does he react after he gets paid?
  • Becton is comfortably the worst of the 5 OL. He's a Home run/strike-out type of OL. His best players are crazy, but he's also getting beat on stunts/games a ton. He's not great at recognizing that. Most of our bad OL games were due to Becton. The highs were high though.
  • He's fine as a pass-blocker. Teams absolutely try to pick on him, but that's just as much as not wanting to test Jordan-Lane and Dickerson to a lesser extent.
  • To help out Jalen, I would like to see a shorter RG to help him see. Jalen is not tall and IMO it's one of the reasons he doesn't test the MOF. Having a mammoth RG doesn't exactly help that. Of course Steen is big too, but he's not the giant that Becton is.

There's just too much risk for me.

Surprised Minny isnt kicking the tires

One team I assumed would be in the Stafford mix is the Saints. Moore and Stafford were teammates in Detroit so they clearly know each other.

They must like Rattler or don’t have the cap room.

Yes I highly recommend.  It’s literally the most comfortable shirt I own, and it looks awesome. The only thing that I’m pissed about is that it doesn’t say they’re SB champions anywhere, but that’s not a huge deal. Although I don’t see the fleece on the fanatics site anymore so you might have to find it somewhere else.

The entire O essentially.  Assuming Jurgens gets signed you'd have 4 OL, 2 WR, 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 TE on big deals. That leaves 1 OL spot and 3rd WR/2nd TE.  Paying 10 starters on O doesn't seem practical if you have to pay players on D at some point soon
