Ever since I got COVID, I've had tinnitus every single day and awful migraines that are just brutal whenever I read. Hopefully it goes away one day. I did have a stretch in 2024 where I felt like 98% for 2 months, but it came roaring back again. Doctors think COVID screwed with my central nervous system.

Since covid, my dad cant get his blood pressure under control since then. And has increased occular pressure, not glaucoma but basically the same thing, that he has to use drops for because it never went away on its own.

A relative of mine lost their taste and smell for 3 years. It finally came back last year. COVID has done a lot of crap to a lot of people. Hopefully they continue to study it so they can cure a lot of people with lingering issues.

Dong nothing is relative, as Jeremiah Trotter had a start, 25 tackles and half a sack, Tanner McKee had those TDs against Dallas, and even Johnny Wilson had a lot of moments (and drops)

Does Moro Ojomo count? Does Tyler Steen count?

Ojomo?  Guy had almost the same pressure rate as Williams in the SB from what I heard on one of the podcasts with that analytics guy Sam something from Penn State.  22 or 23% compared to Williams at 26%.*

* Numbers are not exact, but a good show to listen to. He did 2 parts and broke down everything.  Pretty sure it was Inside the Birds. They all run together as I have listened to 100 podcasts in the last 2 weeks.😅

It didn't bother me at all. I actually don't mind hearing stories, good or bad, from people who are/were suffering from the same things that I am. It makes me feel less alone.

Give him some marijuana

I take tinnitus very seriously. I lost a friend. You, not so much.

@VaBeach_Eagle There seems to be an issue where embedded tweets just don't load anymore. Like you go to the page they were posted and there's just a blank space. They weren't ones that were deleted, those come up as "tweet deleted" or whatever.

I made sure it wasn't just my browser. Tried it on several browers on my PC, iPad, and phone. Same thing.

Example:

There's a tweet in that post, but all that's visible is the gif.

Still seems to be occurring.

@VaBeach_Eagle seriously, why is this dude still here? Should have never been allowed back into the new board. Blatant troll.

incredibly stupid. like something youd be embarrassed by a little kid blurting out. wrong audience, wrong moment. Totally inappropriate.

Keep checking. It’ll drop in a week or two. They also haven’t dropped a lot of the fitted caps yet

Yeah I noticed that also. I already bought the grey one but wanted didn't want another snap back. They have the saquon jersey for pre order

Just a couple of my guys in this draft that aren't typically mentioned everyday.

LB Small Mondon ; DE/DT Ashton Gillotte ; DE Donovan Ezeiruaku ; CB Shavon Revel ; DE Jared Ivy ; EDGE Bradyn Swinson ; DT Omarr Normann-Lott ; RB Devin Neal ; S Andrew Mukuba ; EDGE Josaiah Stewart ; RB Trevor Etienne ; WR Savion Williams.....

I am also very high on the top EDGE's that are commonly mentioned. I like all the Georgia guys on both sides of the ball and there's quite a few this year. I would be quite happy with either of their pass rushers. I wonder if Tate Ratledge could be another Dickerson type OG. DT I am not blow away by but there's some. If Milt is out, Nolen would excite me some but he's probably gone in the teens.

Savion Williams is the most intriguing WR in the entire draft for me.

Huge at 6’4”+ 225. Super athletic. Makes all kinds of crazy contortion body control type catches.

He’s so good as a ball carrier he lines up at RB frequently and had multiple 8+ carry games. Also was a QB coming out of HS and plays in the wild cat, even throws some passes occasionally.

Call me crazy, but as a ball carrier he almost reminds me a little bit of Barkley — obviously not nearly as good, but he has the same type of deep tool kit using spins, jukes, and hurdles yet shows surprising physicality with stiff arms and the ability to lower his shoulder and gain yards after contact.

I expect him to test really well — probably low 4.4 forty with a big vertical jump.

And yet he isn’t a great route runner and his hands are inconsistent. He’s also not as good of a blocker as he should be with his size and athleticism.

Definitely some boom or bust to him as a prospect, but he has a respectable floor just because you can manufacture touches for him as a RB, end arounds, and screens.

I’d be really excited to take a chance on him. He needs coaching, but his potential fit here in a ball control offense that takes deep shots when teams play press and crowd the box is perfect. Start giving those WR screens to him. Get him an end around. There was a play the Lions ran where they pitched the ball to their RB and then he shovel passes the ball to a WR in motion who cuts straight up the middle — perfect play for Williams to get him involved.

You have to coach him up but I think he’s a potential star. And when I say star, I think high end pro bowl type potential if things come together for him. Guys his size should not be so athletic and dangerous with the ball in their hands.

Big fan of his, even acknowledging he’s a risky pick.

I don't mod, so I don't know if there's any rules violations that would warrant banning of any particular members. If there's no rules violations, there's always the ignore feature.

I had a friend whose tinnitus was so bad he committed suicide.

My father has Ménière’s disease. Basically terrible permanent tinnitus combined with violent vertigo and drastic hearing loss.

He confided in me that the thought had crossed his mind.

Long Term Covid likely will not be studied further.  Studies for this will have to be privately funded, and there could be professional repercussions for even trying to create research studies around Covid.

Are we sure that Nakobe Dean was better than Oren Burks?

I think so yes.

I agree.  Though Burks played well.  Dean is a tackling machine and pretty good in coverage.

Shemar Turner- 2 sacks

Shemar Stewart- 1.5 sacks

Nick Scourton- 5 sacks

Something fishy about these perfect looking prospects with oddly minimal production. All of that dominating size and athleticism on the same defensive line, and no one can break free to get to the QB? Is it a DL that plays like Georgia that limits pass rusher production?

Without watching TxAM that was what I was thinking - do they have LBs getting all the stats?

I understand and sympathize. My friend smoked a lot of marijuana, which he said eased his tension but did nothing for his symptoms.

Dean's status being up in the air means bringing back Burks is a big deal.  Trotter Jr being around is nice, but I always want competition for all starting positions.  Burks won't break the bank.   Baun might.  But they need to bring both back.

Nolan Smith was stumbling around like Anton Jackson

I think one player I am most excited for next season will be Ben VanSummeren.

I get the feeling he is like Mailata in that the eagles have kept him around knowing he was a few years away.

Already this year, they felt he was too good not to be on the field and found a role for him, completely different from the one theyve been grooming him for.

He also did look good at LB in pre-season.

Hes going to be further along in his recovery than Dean, and should be in line for an increased share of camp and pre-season snaps.

I wonder if he is not going to run away with the job and be a break out player, and yet another playmaker for the defense.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It can be bad at times, worse for me when I lay my head on the pillow if there no white noise to mask it. But even then, if you lay on your side, you're blocking the white noise out of that ear so now the ringing is more noticeable.

I've dealt with it from one degree or another for almost 37 years now. For me, as bad as it can be at times, it'll never be so bad that I can't go on in life. There's ways to deal with it. Just look at the Eagles joy that I'd have missed if I'd 'given up' 8 or 9 years ago. That might seem like a small thing, but it's not. There's always something positive to grab onto, even if it's just seeing the sun come up one more day.
