Dotson was far better than Quez and had a couple of key catches in the end of the year.  He'll never put up any numbers but Hurts did start to find him a bit and Dotson caught the ball when it was thrown his way.  I'm happy to roll with him as the #3.

WR3 production with Jalen Huts at QB will probably never be an issue of how good the player is but how often Hurts goes to WR3.

Right, so no need to move off of Dotson

Jack Sawyer had one hell of a 2024 season. National Champion, 9 sacks, 9 TFL, 1INT, 7 passes defended, 3 FF, 3 FR and 2 TD off of fumbles. Where he needs to be better is TFL. He's still an ascending player IMO.

BG had 20 TFL and 10 sacks as a JR and 26 TFL and 10.5 sacks as a SR, that's ridiculous production.

Sawyer has a nice baseline skillset of playing with power and setting an edge, not so sure about his ability to attack the shoulder and to a lesser extent in this scheme to drop in coverage. I’m just much more comfortable with him in the 2nd (tradeback scenario).

WR would be such a waste of resources in the top 100. I would like a day 3 pick that can be more explosive than Ainias Smith. Smith is too small/slow to play.

Yeah, his play speed was really disappointing. I loved him as a late round pick to develop into a slot receiver, but he doesn’t seem to be fast enough.

I don't see any world in which we get a 2nd round pick straight up for one of our backup QB's. UNLESS, Howie gets creative and trades Mckee plus pick(s) for round/pick swaps situation. Like our own 2nd plus McKee maybe another pick to the Saints for their 2nd. Possibly something like that would work. Or a trade back from round 1 to the Saints 2nd, plus McKee, for a combination of picks in return.

For example since I got sucked into this and I can't help myself:

Our offer: 1st rounder #32 (590 point value) ; McKee (280 point ballpark value - end of 2nd round value) = 870 points

For

Saints 2nd rounder #40 (500 points) ; Saints 3rd rounder #71 (235 point value) ; Saints 3rd rounder #93 (128 point value) = 863 points (or instead of asking for both 3rds this year subtract one and insist upon their 2nd next year)

Maybe we throw them back another later pick to push the trade through if needed but these types of creative trades may possibly entice them more. Of course it all depends on Moore's view of McKee. This type of trade sets us up with 2-2nd's ; 3-3rd's ; 1-4th ; 3-5th's. I would immediately look to trade up from our own 2nd rounder as well since there's enough ammo.

Second example since I got sucked into this and I still can't help myself:

Our offer: 2nd rounder #64 (270 point value) ; McKee (400 point ballpark value - same point value as pick 50) ; 4th rounder #129 (43 point value) ; 5th rounder #169 (24 point value) = 737 points (maybe throw in a 2026 pick to sweeten the deal if McKee is being valued too highly)

For

Saints 2nd rounder #40 (500 points) ; Saints 3rd rounder #71 (235 point value) = 735 points

This enables us to keep our 1st and now have 2-2nd rounders ; 2-3rd rounders. But McKee would need to be valued pretty highly by Moore and his new team.

Nor would I. And there’s no escaping it and no relief, at least in its extremes. I am so glad he’s better and has learned to cope, both for him and for @VaBeach_Eagle.

On a lighter note, I have another friend with tinnitus. He moved to upstate New York and takes long walks in the woods. Says he listens to the crickets.

Hearing loss runs in my family.  My mother could not hear crickets.

Meh — he’s a solid player on a cost controlled deal who can play outside in the case of injuries.

Since we are in repeat mode I’d keep him.

I'm in no way beating the drum to draft him. I wouldn't be mad at the pick at 32, but yea, agree move back for him if you can. There has to be a willing trade partner. Let's hope Dillon Gabriel, Quinn Ewers, or a number of other 2nd tier QBs make a team fall for them and want that 5th year.

That’s what I’m hoping for as well.

These are fun scenarios to play around with. My only question is why shouldn't we believe Howie can get more for McKee? AJ Feely was traded for pick 35. He only had 5 starts under his belt and 8TDs. McKee has one start and 4 TDs. He's about to turn 25 and is under control for 2 more years.

We've talked about one team taking the chance on game manager, cost controlled QBs. That's what McKee could be for a team. If the Rams trade Matt Stafford as has been rumored, McKee could be the kind of QB to keep them afloat while their next QB is found, or maybe he shows he can be their QB.

Rams, Browns, Jets, Steelers, Raiders, Dolphins are all teams that I think could be looking for an inexpensive QB. I think Howie gets more than we think for McKee if he's the one they decide to move.

Gabe Hall, Danny Gray, TDP and KJ Henry are players I'm interested to see how they develop. TDP is a solid RB who pushed for a roster spot last year. Gabe Hall could develop in to a backup NT or maybe even an inexpensive replacement for Jordan Davis if they don't think he's worth an extension.

Dallas Gant and Ochaun Mathis for me.  Mathis’ athleticism suggests he should be really good but never reached his potential. I do question his bend.  Gant was a scholarship player at Ohio State before going to Toledo.  Showed some flashes and Eagles grabbed him when The viqueens let him go in October.  Decent athlete.  Imagine he is an ILB for the Eagles.  That said, they signed and elevated Morrow when Dean went down.

I hope we can get a 2026 1st for our 2025 1st.  My reasoning: many of our young studs (Jurgens, N. Smith, Ojomo, Dean, Carter, Hunt, Blankenship, Davis) will be needing contracts over this and the next 2 seasons.  Just don't see how will sign all of them.  Two 2026 1st rounders combined with what we believe could be 2-3 decent comp picks in the 2026 draft sets us up to keep the pipeline fresh and affordable.

Furthermore,  decisions will need to be made on guys like Goedert, potential extensions for both Mailata and Dickerson in a few years.

That makes sense, especially if she had hearing loss.

Green and Pierce jr

ultimately i dont see either falling that far

Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State

6'3" 195 lbs

Should be there late RD4-RD5

He is a guy I hope Howie looks at if their goal is to add WR depth this draft. He immediately comes in and overtakes Stone hands Johnny.

Sawyer is a tough eval. Hell of a ball player and team leader. But is he athletic enough? Cant help but feel his best fit will be as a 4-3 DE

The Eagles aren’t trading up from #32 into the top 10 and giving up the draft capital to do it.  Milton Williams was a #73 overall pick, Zack Baun was #74 overall, and Josh Sweat was #130 overall.  Those are the three defensive players who played the best on a defense that just carried the Eagles to a Super Bowl championship.

Make the right picks in their draft slot and develop the players who fit your defensive scheme and philosophy.

Howie will use a Jedi mind trick on all the other Gms around the league.

"These are not the draft picks you are looking for."

Your little troll group that you're still crying about years later did coordinated trolling campaigns, intentionally and obsessively tried to get around people having them on ignore, were constantly just trying to attack people here and had a guy that was a full blown stalker who coordinated the rest of them to try to screw over VaBeach_Eagle's youtube channel like the pathetic losers that they were.

Learn to use ignore if you have such an issue with my opinions.  I can promise you I won't be trying to get around that ignore feature.  You mean absolutely nothing to me.

Not crying about anyone. The banned deserved it. Doesn’t mean you don’t. You contribute nothing here other than nonsense and contrarian opinions solely for the sake of trying to rile people up. You’re the epitome of a troll. Nobody here has ever thought, "wow what a great post by RTK.” And we all mean something to you. You have nothing without this place. The EMB is simply the bridge that your troll self lives under. You’re an unfunny version of Shrek.

I know, I'm just trying to figure out how to get my favorite player in the draft. Have loved watching Mason Graham play the last few years.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them trade up if a player falls though. This roster is nearly set. They don't have a lot of room to add a huge draft class. As of today, they have 7 picks. I see them making 4-5 picks like 2018.

Yep, either trade up for a high caliber prospect or trade back for picks in 2026.

The roster is way to loaded to waste draft picks on players that are low ceiling.

Preston Smith was just released by the Steelers. No one is rushing to sign him, but he'd be a solid veteran rotating rush/edge player if he's still around closer to OTA's. He's still good for about 5 sacks a year just turning 32 a few months ago.

There are bound to be more guys like him released the further along we get.

I'd rather bring back Graham... for a bunch of reasons.

Seems the theme of this parade was just grabbing people and taking them places.

You over there! Come have fun with us!

I am also starting to warm up to a trade down and drafting this guy:

Him and Baun together would EASILY be the best LB duo in football. Campbell has the size and skillset to rush from the edge as well. He would be an absolute menace in Fangio's defense from Day 1.
