Wonder if part of moving on from CJGJ is they just plan on keeping Slay.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Just got off the phone with Howie.

The blog today…

Fulton at 2-20 is better value than Rodgers at 2-15 imo.

Wtf Jalen mills is coming back?

Q likes to talk trash

Eh he's more quiet confident.  He'll talk trash but I don't think I've seen him instigate crap before though.  Graham would call out your mother on the first play of the game. Different skillsets

Whatever this means

Eagles bringing Slay back and those two can no longer coexist.

Let the dust settle here. But who here doubts that Howie isn't the smartest man in the room? It's a long offseason and he will be sifting through the second wave here and scooping up cheaply for vets who either want to ring chase or re-establish their value on a Superbowl contender on 1 year deals. There is some opportunity here now. This is Howie at his best, retooling on the run. No one does it better. All with a bevy of draft picks coming as well.

Brown, Cine, and a rookie will all be cheap.

I think the Eagles are higher on their young bench players than fans are.

Ringo too for Slay.

Yeah, I don't see Cine or Brown getting the job done.  Maybe a draft pick but that's a real risk.

I'm less concerned with replacing Slay as I do have some real hope for Ringo.

So Calcaterra or Dotson is a core player?

Neither are starters

Draft?  You mean we can still add talent to this team?  Really?

I always love every year when some move in the first couple days of free agency make some fans think they are done at a position.

Last March the Eagles signed:

  • OL Matt Hennessy, cut in August.
  • Huff: barely saw the field
  • Devin White, cut in October
  • CB Tyler Hall, placed on IR then released, now with Seattle
  • DT PJ Mustipher, cut in August

They signed Baun and everyone said "who???"

Everyone said we're screwed at corner. Then they drafted Q and DeJean, Rodgers looked good in practice and then half the fans said let's trade Rodgers because we are stacked at corner.

So there are only 10 starters on offense?

Might be more that they plan to give Blankenship a contract and CJ would probably want one too.

This is the first move that I am not ok with to the point where I think it's moronic. I'm not even a big CJGJ guy as I think he is wildy inconsistent. That being said, this trade accomplishes nothing. We don't save on the cap for the upcoming season. We weaken yet another position on the defense. We lose a guy who brought fire and attitude to the defense. Green will likely end up as a backup, his addition pretty much means Becton is out, and the draft pick compensation was moving up from a 6th to a 5th in 2026, so nothing. The trade literally accomplishes nothing for the team and just creates yet another hole in the defense. Absolutely horrendous.

I wonder if they’re now targeting another Georgia Bulldog (Starks) as their long term safety. He could be available where they pick or maybe with a small move up.

I'm hoping this rumor I just heard about trading AJ to a division rival for a third is just BS.

To be fair it's pretty much tradition to say "who???"

Miles Sanders cut

Maybe they liked what they saw in limited practice from Cine as well.  My bet is CJGJ asked for more money and Howie was not giving it to him with the other contracts coming up

Lewis Cine is the wild card here. He was a 1st round talent for a reason. He hasn't developed yet due to injuries. Maybe the Eagles saw enough from him in the limited practice reps to say, damn this guy is back. Green has been objectively bad.

The Eagles just opened the door for 2 former 1st round picks to resurrect their careers.

With that being said, WTF.

Texans fans had a legitimate gripe to say he was awful.

imagine seeing that and thinking - thats our guy

I don't see how this has anything to do with Cine. He showed up late for a few weeks of a Super Bowl run and probably didn't have a single teams snap of practice.

His biggest question mark has been his health. If he came in here and showed he's 100% healthy that goes a long way. He's the kind of safety we will love if he's healthy.

Guy was a stud at UGA.

Maybe - my short-term UGA bingo is Stokes and Ojulari.
