Find it ridiculous that people suggest or predict Cooper moving to safety. Not happening.

People lack reading comprehension.

On run downs, we go 4 DBs, Ringo would probably play over DeJean at CB, one reason DeJean fell to 2nd rd is he wasn't considered an elite prospect at outside CB.

Play him at FS on run downs, then move him to NCB and put in a pass defense first FS (as opposed to Brown, who's more suited to run defense first).

Yup. This is another one that makes me think Goedert scoffs at a pay cut

If he doesn't restructure they'll cut him in final roster cuts to June 1st his dead cap, because his dead cap number next year is nigh on 24mill.

Those trenches, they're loading em up!

10M guaranteed again is too rich for my blood too.

Thanks for the ring, Big Play Slay

No way I would have given Slay $10 million fully guaranteed. Enjoy Pittsburgh Slay.

Yea, I'd be at maybe half that, max

No Slay for 1 - $10mil

No Rodgers for 2 - $15mil

Ringo for 2 - $2.7m remainder.

Eli Ricks I still LOVE as an outside CB

Slay to Steelers official. 1 year 10m fully guaranteed. Really sad he's gone. Just feels weird to join a random team that has no shot to win for one year and just retire. I was really hoping he'd find a way to stay.

For his sake, I hope he doesn't get hurt just playing that extra year. Like you said, he has no shot at a title. Just a year of playing football for $10 million.

The Steelers loading up at every position but QB is like me buying a PS5 an Apple TV device, a surround sound system, and a lazy boy, but not buy a TV.

The narrative of the Steelers being a well run organization needs to die. Weidl has been atrocious. You can't handle a QB situation worse unless you're the Giants.

Tbh they are really banking on Aaron Rodgers having one last good year. Frankly i rather take that shot with him then Wilson, jones or fields. Tbh they were likely screwed at Qb unless they maneuvered to get a young one they liked. The Steelers going to be stuck in purgatory til they find the long term qb

I heard him in a recent interview saying that he just wants 2 more picks to join the "30 club”.

What spots would you call actual 'gaps' right now though?  Ojomo fills in for Williams.  Hunt steps in for Sweat.  Ringo steps in for Slay/Rodgers.

So, the gaps are:  1 LB position opposite Baun, 1 safety position, and depth along the DL.

But, they might really like Trotter Jr, which means that hole is filled, but depth LB is available.

The only 'gap' I see is the safety position they created by trading CJGJ.  BUT, that was an unforced move much more than letting the free agents walk, so I have to think they have a plan beyond just moving McCollum or Brown into that role.

They lost starters and depth. The guys you're talking about filling in were depth. They have no depth now and some guys will be coming off surgery (Jurgens, Nolan, Dean) . Loses were significant in terms of numbers alone. There's a lot of work to do still to fill out the roster but it's really early. Down 1 starting safety, 2 quality starting CBs, 1 starting OG (likely), 1 starting edge 1, 1 starting caliber DT, Backup LB(Burks), 1 Backup RB.  About to be down a starting TE if the rumors are true. Yes there are a lot of gaps to fill. Draft and trade deadline is where they get things done. Maybe a FA when it doesn't count against the Comp picks. Howie doesn't seem to be in any rush and he already said this wouldn't be conventional so we patiently wait.

Yeah the question about whether he only looked good because defenses sold out to stop the run, another thing I'd say is that his passing looks a bit one speed, like he doesn't know what a touch pass is and he's trying to throw everything hard as he can.

It'll be interesting to see if he can play at pro level, because no one's selling out to stop Aaron Jones on one of his alternate sub 1k years.

DeMarcus Lawrence to Seattle

In that video he said he was going to basically go for the money

Fran Tarkenton…wait

The Chargers were going to bring in Engram for a visit, but Goedert makes so much more sense for a Harbaugh/Roman offense as a two-way player.

Obvious the Eagles need to keep drafting DL over and over.  Price point too high.  Might be a reason to sign Becton if the $ for guard are reasonable.  Hard to tell. I've seen deals all over the place for guards

They have 83M in cap space and their 2nd best WR is Quentin Johnston. Goedert might get 100 targets in LA.

If something happens with Goedert it doesn't make sense to do it until the draft to see if they can get a TE to replace him since they'd have to have it post June 1st anyway. It's a position they value a lot. I still don't think it's a lock he leaves.

I think Ringo and Brown are going to be very good.  Maybe some speed bumps, but I think everyone will be happy with them.  They are catching all the concern, but that's not mine.

I think Steen will be a perfectly good RG, but I worry the marginal reduction of our exceptionally dominant running game from losing a true run blocking weapon (Becton) for a merely good RG (Steen) is actually going to be a big detrimental impact to the team.  Likewise...Steen was a big safety valve for us as Becton and Dickerson both missed a good deal of snaps (if not games) this year.  I suppose Green can fill that roll, but I'm not sure how good he'll even be there.
