Thoughts;

CJGJ may simply reflect DeJean. DeJean will probably be the starting FS who then moves to NCB in 4-2-5 formations. In which case, your "starting FS" will play 75-80% of snaps, primarily as a pass defender in a deep 2 safety formation. CJGJ has an off/on history, that is, what are odds he'd be as good this season, and was probably sheltered a bit by Fangio. McCollum and Brown are as athletic as CJGJ, and Cine more so. I think McCollum has the inside track, especially since pass defense will be more important than run defense.

Putting Coop at S is negating his strengths.

In terms of future Phillydawgs, Howie is much more likely to target Walker over Mykel Williams.

Ok then. Thanks for taking Kenny?

wonder if this impacts Slay

Is Frank Gore officially an Eagles player now?

Ben VanSumeren will remain with the #Eagles on a one-year deal, via agency

The Eagles made a move!

Hell yea

BVS back. Season saved!

Whoa, that's more than I thought a team would give him. Can't blame the Eagles for not being in on that.

Who is an Eagles fan!  :P

Damn DTs are getting big money paid!

Not just DL either.

The success we’ve had in the draft has been broadly based on targeting plus athletes. Mitchell, DeJean, Jurgens, etc. have all been excellent athletes.

But not just plus athletes... plus athletes who produce.   No workout warrior types either... looking at you Davion!

Big overpay for Hargrave.

This is why Howie is waiting.

F it. Pick up Jordan Davis’ 5th year option

Find it ridiculous that people suggest or predict Cooper moving to safety. Not happening.

And this for Booker

If you're looking for a slang term that feels natural and works as the opposite of "freak beast," here are some ideas that vibe with that casual, modern slang feel:

  1. Scrub – classic term for someone who's bad at something, especially in gaming/sports.
  2. NPC – "non-playable character," used to describe someone who just exists, average, not special.
  3. Liteweight – play on "lightweight," someone who can't handle much, opposite of a "beast."
  4. Casual – someone who's not serious or intense about what they're doing.
  5. Civvie – short for "civilian," like a regular person, not a "warrior" or "beast."
  6. Paper tiger – someone who looks tough but is actually weak.
  7. Beta – as in "beta male," sometimes used (tongue-in-cheek or seriously) to mean someone not dominant or powerful.
  8. Weak sauce – fun way to say something or someone is lame or unimpressive.
  9. Dust bunny – kind of funny, soft, harmless, opposite of an intense "beast."
  10. Normcore – usually about fashion, but could work to say someone is aggressively average.

If you want something new and catchy like "freak beast," you could coin stuff like:

  • Plain Jane (or Plain Jack)
  • Soft unit
  • Tame cub
  • Chill pawn

Asking Coop to move to S is rac!st and I won’t stand for it!!!

Cue the Coop Billie Jean remix song

This excitement is too much

He offered to pay it and was told to donate it to that group and so a lot of others ended up donating to it because we're Eagles fans B-)

He has been very effective as NCB, more like a weak-side LB in the middle of the field.  No doubt he can play as a FS well, though that won't use his full set of skills.

There are young S on the roster who could step up.  Or Howie can sign a vet.

Removes another Goedert destination

Yep.  Hargrave interested me to the tune of 1 year $8m on a pure SB chasing sweetheart deal.  Otherwise, no thanks.
