In a playoff series... the #2 is Nola... and the #3 might be Sanchez if he can build off last season.   Luzardo could still win that spot, there's obviously a lot of season left... but given the history, Sanchez is the more accomplished lefty... at least in terms of the post-season.   When they brought him in, I saw him as the #4/#5... and that's where I think he belongs.   I have no idea why he's pitching in Game 2 of the season.  It almost feels like they lined it up this way to avoid him pitching the home opener.  As the #4, that's where it would line up naturally.  And for whatever reason, I think they wanted to either avoid that, or to give that nod to Sanchez.   🤷‍♂️

I would be good with this though I don't think some of these guys will be available when we pick. Missed on LB however.

Dig it, especially your later round picks. Been crushing hard on Frazier in RD5. Think he could be a potential gem and even challenge early at CB2. Hope Howie is reading the Blog lol. Also big on Lachey. He could easily slide in at TE2 out the gate if Goedert is traded.

Agree with you on availability. Belton and Winston probably go earlier compared to your mock.

I want DE, DT and Safety with the first three picks. The DE's in that round 2 were mostly decimated and thought about Winston there too but went Ivey who I like and think is a bit of a sleeper.

Was pleasantly surprised Winston was there in round 3 and then Belton Round 4.  That was too good to be true really. I'm thinking both are 2nd rounders, possibly both gone by our pick even.

I also wanted LB, Demetrius Knight would look pretty good next to Dean, but went TE as I thought the value was better and the writing is on the wall as it seems they will trade Goedert. Still hoping they work something out though because I'd hate to use a day 1 or 2 pick on a TE.

I want to go heavy defense especially early on. But they may go OL early on as well so then going TE and OL with the top 3 picks is going to make be quite disgruntled.

It's sold out now. I'm hoping they get more.  They still have Foles stuff so I'm guessing they re-stock

Phillies, baby!

No. He was drafted where he was drafted and he has not lived up to his draft status per the GM who drafted him. That’s living in reality. Lowering the bar to prop him up after the fact is not relevant.

Shifting to a Fangio defense certain weighs in. You arent asking him to be a 1-gap pass rusher now

The Eagles have been drafting great the last 4 years.  I'm greedy.  Hopefully they can find some more gems on day 3 to contribute this draft.

A lot of fat guys are prone to having really bad gas.  With no air circulation I’d make my way to the very rear of the plane.

Of the numbered choices it would have to be #3.  It edges out #1 because I’m not taking a middle seat.

Ya gotta research the airplane. All airplanes have outflow valves. A certain percentage of the cabin air is continuously vented from them and newer airplanes vent less air overboard so have to tap less air off the engines to replace what is vented overboard. Any smells tend to concentrate near those outflow valves.

He’s settled down a bit, the kid has some nasty pitches when he’s on.

I know it will course correct over the course of the season, but just baffling this is your game 2 starter.  Of course, Ranger is hurt again (and probably not in shape).

5 or 8, whichever is closer to the bathroom.

Is Jamie Lynch the most useless Philadelphia sports media person?  He was awful on the radio, hes awful on that all phly podcasr anytime they have him on.  No matter what he does he brings nothing at all to the table.

Funny, I think he's one of the best. He's an every man that the average fan can relate to. Would your rather listen to a stick in the mud like John Kincade or a know nothing ****r like Decamara.

Living up to his Draft status does not contribute to or detract from the current product on the field.  Where he was drafted can not be changed.  What his first year production was can not be changed. what his second and third year production was can not either one be changed. What matters is the here and now, which will determine what his future is. And any assessment of his market value by either the Eagles or any of the other 31 teams will look at the Return on Investment that they believe he will bring in the seasons to come.  His Draft status is a sunk cost.

They're really doing their homework on the OT guys that can slide inside to guard. I think they're looking for a long term solution at RG, just my opinion of course. I like Belton the most for that spot but you're going to have to use a 2nd. Same with all these other guys they're investigating.

There is a lot of merit to your argument.  If they do draft an OT who can do what you describe, I can see them starting Steen this year and then trading him in the 2026 Offseason as a seasoned starter still on his rookie contract.  Then in 2026 they would have a RG for three more years of rookie contract.

it would be interesting to look at all the historical OG player trades between teams that included a starter who is in Year 4 of his rookie contract … to se what Steen’s likely market value might be.

Wasn’t Josiah Stewart still on the board at 64?

What do you have against Keegan, Kinnard, and Pryor, or don't you trust Stoutland?

The Eagles aren't drafting an OT at 32. ZERO chance they use a first round pick on a guy who will sit for AT LEAST two, and possibly three years.

You are moving goal posts. The comment I replied to was about why some fans are underwhelmed with Jordan Davis and they would complain less about him if he were a lower draft pick. I simply added more context about why fans would think he is underwhelming. Everything you just said is why fans would complain about him. He was traded up for, taken with a premium pick and has underwhelmed for his draft slot and projection because you can’t change what he has done thus far.

You’re arguing just to argue and changing the topic completely. Todays market value has nothing to do with how fans feels about him being selected where he was and what he has done.

He was the 13th overall pick. Fans have the right to be underwhelmed by what he has done thus far.

Interesting.  They have him as 81st on their board which means if he wasn’t there at 64 they simulated him going a whole half round sooner than his ranking.  I captured their Edge rankings and pasted them below. Swanson would be a good pick at 64 (if there), as would Stewart. Burch and Oladejo and Walker would all make me happy at 96.  Jones is getting some buzz recently and might be a good option at 134. Elijah Williams and Ahmed Hassanein are good late swing options on my board.

Drilling down into that comment, Kinnard and Pryor are too old to ever be part of the succession plan for RT after Lane, which was part of what I heard GreenDestiny laying out as part of the plan for the referenced OT.  Keegan because of size will never be part of that succession plan either.  @just relax may tell me I’m wrong, but I think Keegan’s NFL future is only as an IOL.

With that said, you bring up a good argument for not acting on GreenDestiny’s option.  It may possibly be more optimal to groom Keegan for that RG succession.
