If they want to ban pushing any player forward then so be it.  But aesthetics of a play? Spiking the ball or kneeling down aren't pretty plays either.

Mean to Dak and Cousins?  Love is terrible 🤣

To me it means he's the ultimate "look good in low pressure situations so your team sticks with you forever, but totally crap the bed when there are big stakes" QB.  As exemplified by Dak and Cousins.  Which is my nightmare scenario: QB limbo.  If he totally blew it's better cause they get a high draft pick and can just draft a QB and move on.

Also both of them are total weiners.  So there's that too.

They should make plié replace spiking and pirouette for kneeling.

It's not aesthetics. They're bitter. There wasn't any discussion on it last year. Eagles win a Super Bowl this season and it's back on. Not a coincidence. If everyone could do it as well, none of them would be against it.

I get it, but honestly i don’t even think he’s remotely close to their level.  Low pressure/high pressure, doesn’t matter…he’s just so inconsistent and often times I swear he doesn’t have a brain.

Could they even find a trade partner considering the situation they're in with his contract?

Waiting 40 seconds to pretend to snap the ball not only is not a football play, its also clear unsportsmanlike conduct.

If you want to get rid of non-football plays, make the clock expiring on 4th down a turnover at the line of scrimmage.

Ok emoji lesson for y'all.

🍑(peach) = ass

🍆 (eggplant) = dick

🍈(melon) or 🍒 (cherries) = boobs

🍍(pineapple) = swingers/polyamorous, upside down usually but in emoji can't do that

🧢 (cap) = lie (usually said as no cap, like no lie told)

Also a lot of young people think the regular thumbs up and basic smile both are sarcastic and an insult. 👍 :-) So use it often with them!

One year for slightly less than $15M isn't outrageous for a team to take for a player like Goedert but it's going to hurt the value you get back.

On the tush push…

Philadelphia GM Howie Roseman defended the play, asking the room for the injury data showing that the concept was creating player-safety issue, then asked for the statistics that show it to be demonstrably more dangerous than a conventional quarterback sneak. NFL chief medical officer Allen Sills returned volley in saying that while there haven’t been a preponderance of injuries on the play, the league’s feeling was that when an injury does eventually happen on it, based on the players’ posture, it could be catastrophic.

https://www.si.com/nfl/nfl-tush-push-heated-debate-owners-meetings

There could be a catastrophic injury on any given play in the NFL. See Dennis Byrd, Ryan Shazier, Damar Hamlin. The fact of the matter is that football is a violent sport played by men who are bigger, stronger and faster than they have ever been.

You can all but guarantee that someone will eventually get hurt on the play, whether it's a back, a knee or a head injury. It's just the nature of the sport. The problem is, when that injury happens, all of these talking heads are going to come screaming SEE, THE TUSH PUSH IS DANGEROUS, when the play is no less dangerous than any other play a team runs.

Plus making boneheaded decision like throwing bad interceptions (both) or taking a knee instead of spiking it to kill the clock at the end of a half (Cousins)

Straight into my veins

Is Jordan Love bad because of 1 play in SF and 1 game in Philly? Road playoff games? Against a pair of top 5 defenses in his first 2 seasons as a starter?

Peyton Manning has 6 TDs and 9 picks in road playoff games.

His teams scored

  • 17
  • 0
  • 38 (Red Carpet Defense)
  • 14
  • 3
  • 15
  • 17

If that is the measure of bad QB play then Love's ceiling is possibly above Manning. Manning was also 32-32  after 4 seasons and got his coach fired with 6 TD passes to the other teams in 2001. He averaged 20 picks a year through 4 seasons. This famous meme is a reaction to how awful Peyton Manning was as a QB in 2001. (the D was also awful)

No.

First, I think until proven otherwise, Jordon Love is average.  He's not bad\terrible, but he's not someone who will elevate the team around him.  I'm going by the super scientific metric known as "the eye test".

Second, the INTs became more frequent.  In 2023 he threw 1 INT every 53 passes.  Last year it was 1 INT every 39 passes.  If he threw the same amount as he did in 2023, he would have ended up with 15 INTs, tying him with Geno Smith and putting him just behind Baker Mayfield and Kirk Cousins who each had 16.

To be fair, his touchdown rate went up slightly.  2023 it was 1 TD every 18 passes and in 2024 it was 1 TD every 17 attempts.  So match the attempts from 2023 and he would have finished with 34 TDs last year, good for 5th overall.

Watched a video yesterday saying that Kevin Winston Jr. missed one tackle in his college career.  Might have been another video asking who he compares himself to and he said Sean Taylor and Derwin James
