Campbell is way better suited to be an edge rusher in the NFL but is currently too small for that and the last thing the Eagles need is another 240 pound edge rusher if he even weighs that much. I get major Isaiah Simmons vibes from this dude as in elite traits but doesn't have a position that really suits him at the next level. I wouldn't be happy with him as the pick period but if they passed on Walter Nolen for him I'd be crashing out hard.

Scourton may end up being the pick which I’d hate but I also think if he’s tops on their board at 32 Howie is gonna do everything in his power to trade down. Howie is a Blue chip chaser, I can’t see him being satisfied with Scourton as his top pick. Maybe in round 2 if he gets more picks to move down.

Id say Hufanga, Delpit, Justin Reid territory. I guess a few million more due to inflation.

I think Campbell would replace Nakobe, and then you’d have two LBs that could work the edge on 5-man fronts -or- be a factor in the sim pressure game out of base. Campbell could quickly surpass Dean in coverage, while the run instincts aren’t the same he has a lot of speed/length to make up for that difference (and some good coaching to move the process along). Not a bad outcome at all, given there are quite a few DL prospects that we could go after on Day 2.

Brown was new to football. They knew he didnt have the IQ- yet. But they must have figured he loved ball, and would put in the work to develop the IQ.

Develop football IQ? Not sure that is a skill that everyone possesses.

Hard disagree. Dorky and analytical sure, but about 10X more neurotic and comes off arrogant at times. Solak contextualizes his opinions - Syed acts like any fan who doesn’t throw around EPA in casual conversation is a moron.

Has some value in the Solak lane, but he needs to be checked way way way harder than Sheil does.

Man, Campbell is a no brainer for me. He’s got everything — big, fast, athletic, can cover, tackle, and blitz. Perfect fit for Fangio, we can let Dean walk, save money AND get an upgrade.

Plus Campbell can play on the edge if Fangio wants to disguise coverage assignments.

I like Scourton. Maybe he won’t be a super star, but I think he can be a good pass rusher and has the tools to become a good run defender.
