One thing I like reading each year is Tommy's annual draft preview post. I always look at his please draft a few of these guys list. Here are the best parts. http://igglesblitz.com/2025/04/2025-eagles-draft-preview/#more-21266

Please draft a couple of these players

TE Elijah Arroyo – Miami
TE Jackson Hawes – Georgia Tech
OG Grey Zabel – NDSU
OT Charles Grant – William & Mary
OT Anthony Belton – NC State
OG Donovan Jackson – Ohio State
OG Wyatt Milum – West Virgina

DE Josaiah Stewart – Michigan

Please avoid these players

ED Shemar Stewart – Tx A&M – Lack of production is legit concern.
ED James Pearce – Tennessee – I don’t think he fits the Eagles scheme.
TE Harold Fannin – Bowling Green – Specialty TE. I think the Eagles need a blocker/receiver type.
OL Emery Jones – LSU – Waist-bender. That’s a fatal flaw for OL.

James Feller, the kicker from UT. I remember him because I was in Texas at the time and was curious if he was related to Bob Feller, the great Cleveland pitcher.

So Brugler's final mock has us taking Mike Green.

Jeremiah's final mock has us taking Jihaad Campbell

Good players who are better than pick 32 falling for different reasons.

Does Tom know what a sleeper is? Ive long felt both of these guys are 1st rounders.

In 2023 I was praying that somehow Carter would fall to us at 10, and it happened (I know we traded up to 9, but still). Last year I didn't think there was any chance we would get Q at 22, and I was hoping to take Coop.

This year, my uninformed obsession is I want Walter Nolen.

I would hate that because Ramsey stinks for years now. And, doesnt seem like a culture fit. With Ringo and Jackson in place as insurance, Id rather take a flyer on the health of Jaire Alexander if we go the trade route. I suspect he would be cheaper to acquire too, because of injuries.

Cost. His salary skyrockets next year and he isn’t that cheap this year with that roster bonus.

Tbh Cleveland if they are accepting they are doomed for 2025 and getting as much value in 2026 then they really should deal that second pick to the highest bidder. That way they can stockpile picks for 2026 draft so they can go all in to get that Qb if they need to move up. Plus they have a lot of holes so they need more than just Hunter and Carter.

Yeah, that's the most valuable pick they have. Hunter is all but a lock for them, especially if they move Newsome. Carter really should be the pick for them though.

Plus, didn't he HATE playing for Vic?

Makes no sense. We've been cutting salary all offseason just to go and save Miami from that contract? Unless Howie thinks he can get Miami to cover a big chunk of it?

He doesn't have CB Will Johnson in his first round, wonder why. I wouldn't let him slip past us

I believe he is #4

Alexander? well then forget him too. I wont trade for either of them.

What do you think the deal is with the interest in nickel CBs? They seem to be too highly regarded for just dime duty... is a an eventual Coop move in the works -or- are these just good players to have around for depth and situationally vs the small quick slots?

With the qualifier that there is NO chance we are trading for Ramsey, his only guaranteed money is for this year. His $4mm roster bonus was already paid on 3/16/25, so he is owed $21.1mm for 2025 ($1.255mm salary, $18.98mm option bonus due week 1, $765k per game roster bonus and $100k workout bonus). His cap number would be $5.916mm with $15.184mm of dead money in 2026 if we just cut him.

The only way we could do this is if Miami ate a big chunk of the roster bonus to get a pick now instead of just cutting him after this year. But Miami wouldn't do that. Add in he sucks now and hates Fangio, and this isn't happening.

With that week 1 roster bonus, I would expect calls until week 2.

Only 3 guys would make me giddy in round 1. Nolen, Green, Walker.

There's other guys I'd like but wouldn't be fired up about.

I have said I think they may view some of them as safeties.

I do not think DeJean moves outside.

And its a lot of visits to use on someone you know you are drafting as a long term backup in the best case scenario (DeJean stays healthy and starts for us for a long time).

I do think some of them can play outside, like Parrish. But Jaylin Smith seems like a possible safety.

I would agree with that. You almost never have just 1 top 10 QB. Bunch of QB needy teams who will reach. Always happens.

I prefer Mukuba, as there is less position change projection, but a similar idea with these players... I get it.

Nah, I think it's just more about versatility than anything else. Coop was great in his role last year, and he's smart and instinctive enough that Fangio could move him around more. Adding another good quality nickel CB really allows him to unleash Coop in different looks.

Ringo is the X-factor for me though. He's gotta be on the field somehow this season or else he's borderline cuttable.

We dont usually pick in the range of top end talent anyway. But, the eagles are getting a bunch of new players this weekend. I cant be anything but excited about that.

True, but I do like watching players in college and then seeing where they end up regardless.

Just a lot of players I don't care for this year, I guess.

Vick was right there.

I've gotten on board with the idea of Campbell if he is there.

That is the LSU OT, I wonder if he just forgot him or Will Johnson is actually falling
