Garrett is a bridge too far, sticking with a war motif. Great player, no doubt, BUT: you get him, you lose all our other FAs to be. No Baum, Williams, Becton, and that’s just in 2025. More FAs get  squeezed out next year, and the year after. Jurgens? After that? Garrett is done and you’ve paid a heavy opportunity cost in young guys not signed because you gave up high picks as well as all that salary. Let Dallas get him.

Yep.  As mouth watering as Garrett next to Carter may be, it’s a move that literally has the downside of slamming shut the window for this team.

Hes also 29.  He’s also most likely to be a really good DE and not a DPOY candidate moving forward.

The way I see it Smith & Hunt are now the 2 guys projected to play over 50% of the snaps at DE.  There are still other snaps to be had but not at starter money and certainly not at top end starter money

Yeah. I just don’t see this as a Howie move at all. Too old to mortgage the future for.

I haven’t done much reading up on the draft. Is Campbell a pure off-ball LB? If so, the hit rate on first-round LBs is rough.

If you read that Jeremiah mock posted earlier, it says teams will likely work him out as an edge- he flashes elite potential when he rushes. Could be a Parsons type player.

I'd go DE round 1 if there is someone on the board that forces you to pick them, unquestioned BPA.

Short of that, I'd love to find a Chris Long 2.0 for the rotation.  Someone who will give good snaps, provide a veteran backstop for the very young starters.

This is the trap they fall in to in the year following their super bowl. Its not a bad move if you really want to go all in for a repeat, or a 3peat. Of course, we havent had any success signing old guys to repeat. Those moves tend to backfire on us.

Brandon Graham sounds like just that guy.

Im very, very interested in the return from injury gamble on Ojulari.

As has promoting internal coaches but we keep doing that too

Yep or Khalil Mack but I think he'll get too much

Jalyx Hunt.

Where would he go in a 2024 re-draft?

His skill set is all about versatility. He has lots of potential as an EDGE. He also has great mirroring and coverage capabilities as a LB. A creative defensive coordinator could move him all around. I think Fangio could unlock all that potential.

Please no

Why not? He’d be going to an atrocious team and waste away the rest of his career in a basement, accompanied only by a few spavined cowboys.

Oh. You’re feeling badly for Garrett.

Baron Browning would be a nice addition.

Jeremiah has Pearce falling out of round 1 and Eagles taking Starks.

Cant see Pierce falling out of rd 1. Or Green going top 10

Going through these threads reminds me how much I cannot stand chiefs fans. What a bunch of whiney, uneducated, entitled group of morons.

Indeed. Nothing at all like us. No sirree.

But when we whine, we have our reasons!

Garrett only makes sense on a new deal…and a team friendly one if he truly wants a shot at a SB.

Trade for Garrett. Abdul Carter tanks his pre draft so he can go to the Birds in the draft. Resign Milton Williams.  And F it trade for Micah Parsons while we're at it why not.

No way Pearce falls out of the 1st rd

Wow! I had never seen the play where the refs stole the game form Cincy and gave it to KC. The DB jumps straight up in the air behind the receiver with his hands in the air and the terrible throw bounces off the top of the DBs helmet... Flag!

Like the Chiefs could have still been 14-3 with home field without that call, but it knocked the Bengals out of the playoffs.

Nobody wanted a Bengals - Bills wildcard matchup anyway.

@VaBeach_Eagle Chiefs fans are the worst fans in the world. What a bunch of knuckle draggers 🤡

They can't make sentences. They are cursing out their top 10 all-time QB. They are using spacing and periods to curse like human garbage in a gameday thread. You have to translate what is going on in the game because all they are doing is yelling in 1, 2, or 3 word posts.

The tears are delicious.

I think there were 2 or 3 pages of everyone saying the exact same thing... "Make up call" after their first penalty (I forget the call, maybe a personal foul committed against Goedert?)
