The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

So we have 2 Nolan Smiths now. Sick

Smith was far more physical than Campbell and a true edge IMO. Campbell might moonlight as an edge but he projects more as an ILB.

Campbell is a good pass-rusher for an LB, but he's not an EDGE.

He plays edge as well

No we weren’t. Dude was a sure fire stud coming off of a natty and a Heisman lol.

Revisionist history…it was even a talking heads hot topic.

And what coach did Campbell talk to pre-draft…drumroll…. Washburn.

Difference between saying he is an edge vs. he can play edge. I’m sure Fangio will utilize packages with him coming off the edge, but he’ll predominately be used as an off the ball backer.

Very excited to watch this defense again next season. Some fun pieces between Nolan, Hunt, and now Campbell along with the rest of the guys.

I didn’t research this draft much but I did see numerous posts across social media (and comments) saying please PLEASE don’t let Howie get Jihaad Campbell.

I'm in Lot F waiting

Green Bay: terrible place to host the draft.

Ringo is now #7

Yup the jags are screwed

Tomorrow will be interesting for Sanders.

I know Hurts went round 2, but that’s a no mans land for QBs.

If you have any real confidence a guy will be your franchise QB, you aren’t passing on him with your first round pick. And 2nd round is rich for a QB flier. So I’m not sure that one of the QB needy teams that was linked to him in round 1…they basically did their research and said he isn’t their guy…not so sure it’s a given they are just going to pull the trigger when they are up in round 2.

He played EDGE last year a good amount. He's versatile. Can do both. And young. Just turned 21 years old a few months ago. He's going to get bigger and stronger.

Good to hear. Don't rush it

Sets the tone well for the rest of the draft.

I have a feeling we'll look back on this pick as a steal.

Campbell was McShay's 11th and PFF's 11th player

Hilarious

Any players with upside that project to be around in late 2nd?

Or is it mostly that semi hyped DL depth we are looking at…lots of high floor low ceiling guys that will play in the league at a decent level for a while.

Saban said he never really played behind the line until this year. Played end, and outside. Of course college is different than the pros and he is like 235lbs. But...I wouldnt put it past him. Nobody projected Parsons as an edge either. And looking at his NFL.com scouting report not they said play him at 4-3 WILL and let him rush the passer on 3rd downs. He was more of an LB in college than Campbell was.

Parsons was about 10lbs heavier. But has shorter arms.

We will see if the eagles want Campbell to put on any weight to get more edge time, or if they are happy with his weight for a predominantly off ball role.
