I’m thrilled with the pick. He just needs to sharpen his instincts and reads a bit and become a more solid tackler. He does those things and he’s a star.

yeah. interesting how instincts are a minor knock against him. That seems explainable by Saban saying this was his first year playing inside. Im pretty confident he will learn it quickly.

I havent seen tackling as an issue. I think the ~5% number is actually pretty good isnt it?

Looking for Kevin Winston J, Femi or Landon Jackson tomorrow

Femi seemed like a lock. But not knowing what Campbell is really going to be now really has me questioning if hes still in the plans.

Yup the jags are screwed

Is that an intern?

Really want Swinson tomorrow

Names I like for day two.

Ezeiruaku

Green

Watts

Mukuba

Sanders

Scourton - don’t love him but fine late 2nd.

Will Johnson - value pick

Wondering who will be the 'Coop' trade up pick tomorrow...

Love that we were able to get Campbell! He's going to be an all around good player. Supposedly he had a knee bone bruise and may need surgery on the other shoulder after the season but should be good to go in the early part of the season.

The pass rush should be pretty good with Smith, Hunt, Olujari, Uche (if he returns to form), Baun and Campbell and the corpse of Bryce Huff (man, just cut bait please). Would like to see them add a more stout DE and of course DT to round it out.

We'll see what they to do tomorrow but tonight is a good one!

Looking at Brugler's list of best players still available, setting aside the first six, five of whom we would love to have, but clearly are out of reach even for a trade up, we don't have a clear player of interest until 21. Watts ar 22 Scourton at 27, Alexander at 29, Revel at 30, Oladejo at 32, Williams at 34, Parrish at 35 and Sanders at 38 would all be solid additions to the Defense. For me Alexander, Oladejo, and Sanders are the ones I would most like to have. Day 2 looks like it will be just as much fun as Day One.

Getting a projected stud LB makes our D even better. Would make sense, if doable from cap perspective, to extend J. Davis to keep the core together.

I know his snap count isn’t great, but he’s a good run stuffer and actually showed some rushing the passer qualities in the playoffs…

Would be happy with him too.

Norman-Lott is on that list as well.

Any players with upside that project to be around in late 2nd?

Or is it mostly that semi hyped DL depth we are looking at…lots of high floor low ceiling guys that will play in the league at a decent level for a while.

I like Nic Scourton's upside a lot. Only 20 years old, but already has a thick NFL ready body at 6'2" 260. ELITE bend, especially at his weight -- really has those ankles and low center of gravity to turn the corner. He's not a bad run defender by any stretch, but with his build and young age, I think he can get a lot stronger and become an excellent two way player. He won't be around late in round 2, but I could see us moving up for him if he drops into the 40's.

Oluwafemi is basically this year's Jalynx Hunt. Played LB until last year then moved to DE. Was a top 30 visit. Good size at 6'3" 260. Great athleticism, long arms, explosive, fluid, and can bend. Also can do a little bit dropping into coverage. More of a realistic target with a small trade up or maybe even at 64.

CB Darien Porter should be taken right around 64. Legitimately one of the greatest athleticism testers at CB ever, and he's fluid, not just a straight line speed guy. Big at 6'2". Former WR and has only played one year at CB. Old at 24. But the tools are there to be elite if you think you can coach him up and maximize the years you have him on that rookie deal before a tough call to re-sign him at 28.

Morrison and Revel both could slide because of injury concerns. Both would have likely been top 15 picks before they got injured. If you want to roll the dice on injuries, they could end up being CB1 level players.

Prince Umanmielen has good athleticism, speed, explosiveness, and length. Needs to add weight. Pass rush potential is great but might not ever be a high end run defender because of his build.

Bradyn Swinson, DE out of LSU, only has 1 year of top tier production, but the traits are there to be an excellent 2 way DE. 6'3" 255, long arms, can bend, explosive, has power, but needs some work.

Safety Nick Emmanwori is an absolute freak of a H/W/S athlete. 6'3" 220 4.3 speed, 43" inch vert, and he's fluid as well. Without exaggeration, might be the greatest physical specimen to ever play the position. Mocks had him in the first round because of that, but for a safety he needs a lot of work reading defenses so I think he could fall. At his best, think of a Sean Taylor type of player.

There are others, but these are the guys that come to mind.

its gonna be a great night tomorrow again for sure.

I dont think the eagles will take Alexander at his age in round 2.

Agree with the rest.

Lots of good players out there.

Ezeiruaku, Green and Johnson are out of reach IMO. My list is:

Watts

Scourton - don't love him either, but like you I could live with him in the 3rd

Alexander

Oladejo - my favorite

Sanders

Stewart

Grant

Mukuba

Norman-Lott

Good Night All. Pleasant dreams!

Hvaing already drafted Campbell I wonder how much more the eagles will be willing to gamble on injuries.

Revel and Kevin Winston are some guys with talent enough to trade up for if they are falling in to range.

But can you invest that much of your premium picks on injured players?

RD 2 Wishlist:.

  • Nick Emmanwori

  • Will Johnson

  • Mike Green

  • Mason Taylor

  • Nic Scourton

  • Donovan Ezeiruaku

CBS gave them a B for the pick. Piss off lol

ESP didn’t

And moments before this pick RtK said they wouldn't take Campbell because it would be disrespectful to Dean.

So... same same., but different, yet still same.

The DeJean jersey is lucky so far. Great first outing for that thing. Wore to my friend's house to watch tonight.

Dawkins was ol reliable. Kelce jersey absolutely sucks and can not be worn. Glad DeJean is doing good things.
