I think this might be the first time in a long time we can universally agree on liking a 1st round pick.

Carter?

I like Nic Scourton's upside a lot. Only 20 years old, but already has a thick NFL ready body

I'm feeling all confused inside because you're turning me on...

yeah. interesting how instincts are a minor knock against him. That seems explainable by Saban saying this was his first year playing inside. Im pretty confident he will learn it quickly.

I havent seen tackling as an issue. I think the ~5% number is actually pretty good isnt it?

I read/heard it was more stopping power than missed tackles. He was more of a wrap and drag tackler.

How are they getting the extra 2nd

TELL THE LEAGUE YOU LOVE THEM FIRST BEFORE YOU F THEM UP LIKE THIS!!!

You want him to buy them dinner first?

Flowers?

A little sweet talk?

Very intrigued by this situation with Huff. Wonder what happens with him. I don’t believe for a minute he’s in their week 1 plans but also not very easy to move on from. Would’ve been nice if he lived up since we have a big need there.

Thoroughly enjoyable reading these comments...

Some of my favorites so far:

"KC trading for the #32 so they can pretend that they won the Super Bowl"

"When you have Zach Baun at home but mom still lets you stop for Zach Baun as a little treat"

🤣🤣🤣

Using a 2026 pick to leverage 134 … or a Huff trade or a Goedert trade.

Getting a projected stud LB makes our D even better. Would make sense, if doable from cap perspective, to extend J. Davis to keep the core together.

I know his snap count isn’t great, but he’s a good run stuffer and actually showed some rushing the passer qualities in the playoffs…

He may only get 20 snaps a game but those 20 are important as they represent many of the plays where the Eagles need to limit rushing yards and keep the other team in passing situations. You can take a look back at the Falcons loss to see what it looks like when we don't limit the other team's ability to rush the ball.

Good value as always. It will be interesting to see how the Eagles want to use him. He could use some time to develop some more, but we may have an immediate opening off-ball if Dean can't start the season. If Dean can return at some point, Vic might like to use Campbell more at OLB. I'm guessing we may now move BVS permanently to FB.

The observation about BVS is a good one. Having BVS as the full time FB makes selection of a RB in this Draft even less likely.

1979... I was in 5th grade. My teacher was the sister in law of Orioles catcher Rick Dempsey.

Dude was 5-13 with a HR against the Phils in the '83 WS. I remember him hitting a HR but had to look up the hitting stats.

Wonder where the Eagles go with their 2nd round pick — TE, DT? I was a little surprised the Bears went Loveland over Warren, but both CHI and IND ended up with the two top TE as most expected.

Daniel Jeremiah had mentioned the OL depth falls off a cliff after the first few guys; it will be interesting to see who Stoutland still has high on his list.

DT or Edge, not TE is my guess. If they go TE at all I don’t expect it to be until Saturday.

Fangio having Baun and Campbell as the LBs behind his "light box” front four is ideal. They are mirror images of each other, leaving opposing Offensive Coordinators and QBs guessing about where the Eagles might come at them from. The Campbell Baun duo also allows Fangio to keep Cooper DeJean on the field close to 100% of the snaps.

Fangio will change up the personnel of the front four based on whether there is a credible threat of a running play being called by the Offense, but the back Seven (Baun, Campbell, 3 CBs, and 2 Safeties) will consistently be deployed IMO.

CBS gave them a B for the pick. Piss off lol

That's Prisco. You're always much better off if he does not like the pick than if he does. I know him to be reliable the same way Hogan knew Klink to be reliable.

what will fans say now if Baun is making that money and his stats are not as good because Campbell is grabbing stats of his own?

Oh darn…

Still at least a half dozen edge players I’d consider really good value in the 2nd, and maybe a few more CBs than I expected.

Dont sleep on Alexander

DL is a deep group this year so you'd have to expect a selection there be it DE or DT.

Guys…we are drafting 32. And it’s a crap draft (a nice draft to be picking 32 btw).

Any exciting prospect is going to be gone. Anyone with a reasonably projectable path to performing at a high level as a rookie…is going to be gone. The players you like…because you are all pretty informed armchair GMs…are liked by teams picking well in front of us and will be gone.

Campbell, Starks, etc…they will be gone shortly too. It’s just not going to be a good board.

You guys are going to get Campbell...calling it now.

A summary of some of the comments on Campbell. Like watching something interesting unfold knowing the result.

As for me. The Eagles drafting a LB in Round 1 after CB in round 1 last year? Am I in a dream world? The schematic flexibility brings with Campbell, behind that DL? Gonna give some teams nightmares.

As for the rest of the draft. Overall, quite dull outside of the Jags. What are they doing there? A great example of what not to do on draft day

Seeing Sanders fall from round 1 is kind of funny. Kid has talent, but the hoopla that surrounds him is too much for a top pick. He and his Dad need humbling.
