I’m not that mad about missing out on Grant. I’m more annoyed they didn’t move up for Stewart. He’s a stud man and the cost as we saw was a mere 5th rounder.

It appears the Eagles don’t believe they have the needs we do

I love the player and would've been happy with selecting him, but we are overloaded with undersized edges. I really don't think Vic would want yet another. But I do hate that he went to the Rams where they already have a live young d-line and Stewart adds a new dimension and makes it even more dynamic.

Kap wasn’t a good QB ever though, he limited your team severely to make him effective…Sanders is a very good QB prospect. Him and Ewers both falling this far is FAFO type stuff…both relatively good and potentially franchise QB’s, but their egos and attitude are in the way. Sanders has his Dad as another road block.

Huh? Ewers hasn't been picked because he was not good at Texas last year.

He has a bit of ooVy. U

Did you watch Ewers like at all at Texas last year? He is not even close to a franchise QB

Tools are all there. Led UT to the CFB playoffs 2 years in a row…I wouldn’t take him personally but if you remove the human out of him and look at the straight QB prospect you can work with that talent. He was a top recruit, prize of the class…and look where he is because of his ego.

Yup.

I liked Charles Grant, apparently Eagles not so much, guess trust Stout on this.

I like Travis as a project.

Honestly this class of OL isn’t great. Next year is probably the year for Lane’s successor.

Hoping they grab a DL tomorrow

That is ridiculous. It would be crazy value and the Eagles like to invest at QB.

Whether you draft Sanders at #1 or #161 he still comes with the same attitude and same distractions. Waiting a day or two to get drafted isn’t going to change any of his shortcomings.

If you want to invest in a QB this draft to upgrade DTR then just pick McCord from Syracuse. He can’t throw downfield, but he’s very adept at running a timing, ball control offense.

Nah, he should have been benched for Arch last year. He doubled his INTs last year and his completion % went down. Not even sure what ego you are talking about. He was a different kid when he transferred to Texas from Ohio.

QB’s are a crap shoot…look at Lawrence. He went #1 overall because of the hype and his character despite regressing as a QB every year in college (stats be darned). My point is you hitch your wagon to someone who can be a good face to the franchise and prove it on the field. You need to do both…Sanders and Ewers can only possibly do 1 of those. Ewers is literally Bluto.

lol what? He literally was interviewed in the draft process and told people ‘we ain’t come to play school’. And I’m sorry…you don’t have a Manning on your roster and not play him over someone unless he clearly didn’t earn it. Arch has a lot to prove…right now he’s mid at best.

McCord can't throw down field? He's known as a gunslinger.

I like Hawes as a blocking TE

Very disappointed. When I saw the trade comp teams were getting for moving back in the 2nd, I kinda knew we were in for a disappointing night. And I like the idea of Mukuba, although it’s hard not to get K’Von Wallace vibes

And that damn trade back from 96 ugh…

Really think they got played today. Happens to the best of them.

Hopefully we can keep Goedert. Still would like some of these guys

Played a gig tonight so just catching up.

Kudos to @HazletonEagle and @Cheesteakitis for picking Mukuba.

Crazy how the mock ratings go out the window when Day 2 starts. Admittedly was a Watts guy, but I defer to Vic on everything defense after bringing home the goods last season.

I would be overjoyed with one of Swinson or Ingram-Dawkins in RD4.

Howie would not move back from 96 to 101 if he wasn't mathematically guaranteed to get a player he liked at 96 at 101 as well.

The simple fact is that the third round talent went dry, so he kept moving back.

Sports media using the same script with Sanders as they did with Michael Sam while he tumbled into the 7th round, if nothing else, they are consistent. And there's absolutely no reason the Eagles should draft him, at all. 🤷‍♂️

Of course the issue wouldn't happen for GoDaddy by the time they got around to checking. But they're still investigating what it might be.

Well, at least Sanders has a theme song for whenever he enters a stadium now...

Howie has made a lot…a lot of mistakes. He’s human…same with the rest of the FO. We will never know, but it looks like he got too cute. It will more than likely work out because he’s going to add a priority UDFA at the end of the draft and we have another full day to go.

For us mere peasants it’s safe to assume that it’s 50/50 he either took a good trade to move back in hopes that he could add more with that pick, or he tried to play the board and move back assuming his pick was there and it wasn’t.

OH WONDERFUL...Miss Excitement is back to announce the picks

She's my favorite draft person. I love when she comes on stage and announces the picks. No BS, no drama, no thanking everyone, no ripping on rival teams, no remote announcements, no gorilla picks, no military. To me, that's the way it should be. Just tell the people the name on the card. I love her.

Howie traded out of the pick knowing the Falcons were drafting Watts. Normal procedure when a team asked to trade up is to ask who they intend to take with the pick.

I like both players a lot, but obviously the Eagles have a higher grade on Mukuba

Like I said ....I preferred other players at that pick. I would have went with DE or CB. Gillotte or Porter. Oh well. I will get over it. Thanks.

That's not exactly the normal procedure. Getting the specific name, I mean. I know for a fact that legendary Giants GM George Young refused to even ASK the other team who they were going to pick. He thought it wasn't his business to know, that he would only make a trade based on the value of the picks involved rather than the player who might be picked.

It is my understanding that the current practice is to ask "offense or defense". That's what teams seem to do nowadays. I'm sure that's what the Chiefs asked us last night when we wanted to move up to 31. Since we would have said "defense", the Chiefs were fine since they knew they wanted an offensive lineman.

Yeah, the NFL gave a guy who murdered dogs another chance because he had talent. Sanders may have some, but it doesn't come close to being worth the circus coming to town. I believe that scout who said it was the worst interview in all his years. Maybe this humbles him and some team takes a chance on him. I hope it's not the birds.
