Would any of it be out if not for him? Nope.

You end up taking the two more moronic positions that anyone is taking on this topic.

1) Trump is the reason that part of the files have been released - This is totally moronic. Anyone who's paid any attention knows it is exactly the opposite. Also, the reason it came up in the 1st place was because MAGA made it a key topic in all their podcast influencer material. That in turn made it a campaign issue. No doubt Trump figured (he was mostly correct) that his best chance was to simply get a 2nd term and then shut it all down. Unfortunately for him, part of that MAGA crowd wasn't standing for it and in the end a few key Congressmen took action along with the support of part of MAGA and the Dems.

2) Biden didn't release the info so Trump must be innocent - An 8 year old can understand if you explain it to them. The Dems were protecting their own and took the risk that they could beat Trump. Now Trump is protecting both himself and his buddies. This is so incredibly easy to understand. Another moronic take by a large chunk of MAGA. This one is probably the most idiotic take by most of MAGA when it comes to Epstein.

Also, I asked Grok about Trump calling the Palm Beach police Chief and Grok gave four reasons. One was "To distance himself publicly (or privately) from Epstein" and another was "Trump may have called upon hearing news of the investigation to commend the police or ensure his own non-involvement was noted". Seems your Grok also agrees the reasons may very well have been to help ensure the light shines on someone else.

Like most things we will just disagree.

Here is a hint. You'll do much better arguing this one if you just say "I see lots of smoke and want Trump investigated in regard to Epstein but I don't see a smoking gun at this point" OR if you would say "I don't care what Trump did with adult aged women and I don't believe he knowingly did anything with a minor". Those are the two best positions one could possibly take if one is trying to support Trump on this topic.

lol found where you got your talking points from

That's how I feel. I don't like him as a person. Hurting kids as I said yesterday is a huge jump from cheating on your wife and generally being an ahole. Love him as a president but personally I don't like him. I don't see anything past people wanting it to be true. There is a reason we have what we do on Gates and Clinton. We don't have that on Trump.

I never called Biden a pedo either and I hate that guy

Why don't you just say that then? He is 100% all over the files. Maybe he was knowingly with minors and maybe he wasn't but there is testimony saying he was and there is testimony with rape claims as well. Those should be fully investigated.

#2 is not correct. Biden stuck to the strict separation between the white house and the DOJ. I know having an AG like Bondi act as the personal lawyer for the president has been normalized over the past year, but it's anything but. The president should not and most of the time has not directed the AG and DOJ on what they should or should not pursue. So the decision to release the Epstien files was solely Merrick Garland's decision to make. Merrick Garland will go down in history as one of the worst and most ineffective AG's in modern American history. Dude was basically Mr. Magoo. It took him 2 years to start going after Trump for an insurrection that took place on live television. That said those files were sealed. Maxwell was on trial then awaiting appeal. Even if there had been a competent AG, releasing the files before the appeal process for Maxwell was over would have proved difficult.

What nobody wants to acknowledge: She was one of the women Epstein trafficked.

Yep. Now that Maga has opened the door to having former first ladies testify before congress there's nothing stopping her from testifying as well.

I have said it. Like I added above no matter what rumors came out about Biden or the videos of him touching kids I never said pedo with him either. It's the worst thing a person can do in the world IMO. Crap with adults is crap with adults. Doesn't mean he hurt kids. Even people who murdered have rules about that which is why pedos don't do well in prison. People hate him and wish it to be true and have their minds made up. Just like with Biden if you want to attach that label you better have proof and there isn't crap. What we have is him tossing him from the club, the chief, the victims and their attorneys saying no and then the broad in prison saying he had nothing to do with it. Even though she wanted a deal it all lines up.

I don't blame the Republicans for using this approach: Trump does something dumb and they blame Hillary.

This has worked for them for the last 10 years.

You keep going on about "Trump is innocent or they would have released under Biden" and "the release is all due to Trump" and all sorts of other malarkey. Just stick with "I see allegations that Trump committed crimes but will hold judgement until those are fully investigated".

It's his "both sides" shtick again. He can't help himself.

Before now you'd have to go back to Nixon to find a president who actively directed the DOJ

Everyt ime I read posts like that here's what goes through my head.

Sure Ted Bundy raped and killed over 100 women, but you went 5 MPH over the speed limit on I95. The lesson here is that both of you committed crimes.
