It's honestly possible he didn't do anything himself. Actually doing something and then campaigning on releasing the files just doesn't make sense (I know he's not one to make sense though). I think the most logical path is trump knew of something and just never reported anything. He's simply complicit in knowing the crimes and not telling authorities

He's also publicly made comments that pretty much back it up too

No. Why would he if he knew and didn't report it? Usually you aren't bound to call the police but it changes when children are involved. If he knew something and didn't report it then he could be charged and he'd be Fed legally and publically. So if they found something that proved he "knew" of something then it makes sense that he'd not release it

I'm 90 pages into the 237 page Maxwell testimony. The issue (so far) in her testimony as it pertains to Trump is that her main contention is that she doesn't know much of anything when it comes to Epstein and his dealings with women/girls. You'd have to believe she had nothing to do with the grooming, etc. or that it didn't occur at all to have her testimony be some form of evidence for Trump (and others) that point to them not doing anything untoward/illegal.

Still 2/3 of the document left to go so maybe that changes.

Her testimony was bought and paid for and trump;s name has been removed from documents by the FBI. It's what most people would regard as a cover up. The convicted felon continues to engage in crime.

And do tell what the excuse is for the victims and Barr etc saying they never saw evidence?

What is your excuse for the Dems inventing a hoax over Russia, and going after him the last four years for everything possible, but in the last 9 years they never leaked one thing from 100k Epstein files that showed he hurt kids? In all that time, with all the proof you are sure is in there, not one thing. You all ignore that point continually for a reason. If they had any evidence they would not have hesitated to use it any more than you would have if you saw it. They hate him as much as you. They didn't because there is none.

Right because the victims testimony means nothing to Maga.

I've now read thru the entire 1st day of the Maxwell testimony. About 215 pages long. The 2nd day is another 115 pages which I'll get to during the week.

Obviously there is a ton in there but much of it is all sorts of rambling and lots of "I can't remember" and "maybe or maybe not" type stuff particularly from events from 30+ years back. Doesn't seem overly unusual but she does seem to forget quite a lot.

There are a few things that stand out to me from the 1st day.

First, on the subject of a "list". Maxwell is clear about there being an address/contact book of sorts that had all sorts of contacts and which was used by Epstein's staff for all kinds of reasons. That info included a couple hundred people who they could call for massages of which Epstein had a couple every day. The info also included all sorts of other contacts including friends, business contacts, etc. During the Epstein trials there was a list made by attorneys who combed thru all the info including the info in the address/contact book. Maxwell herself received this list as part of the discovery in her own trials. So there surely is a list of sorts though there isn't an actual Epstein client list that Epstein maintained according to Maxwell.

Second, Maxwell's main contention is that she never saw or heard about anything untoward or illegal at any point. She does confirm that she was responsible for finding hundreds of massage experts over many years for Epstein and she remembers lots of times when Epstein and his guests received massages. However, she says there was never a single report of any abusive type behavior from any of those episodes. Maxwell's 2nd line of defense is that she more or less stopped meeting Epstein around 2000 and just at the point where Epstein starting taking testosterone which made him into a mean person. It was also just at that point that Virginia G. enters the story. Virginia claims Maxwell recruited her which Maxwell denies. Maxwell says Virginia was around and was becoming a heavy drug user. Maxwell seems to blame Virginia for leading Epstein down the bad path. This is the last period of time where Maxwell has any level of detail into Epstein's daily life.

Third, this interview is all over the place as is Maxwell. She claims to have memory problems due to some medical issues which cloud her memory and while she remembers lots of people and events with clarity there are many more which she can allude to something or meeting someone but can't pin down any details.

Fourth, there were three or four periods of Maxwell simply heaping praise on Trump in an obvious attempt to stroke his ego. IMHO, very clear what she is up to with this crap.

Finally, there doesn't appear to be anyway that you could use this testimony to clear anyone. She simply can't produce enough detailed info and constantly just basically says "I don't know". In particular, the period post 2000 is just an empty sheet of paper from Maxwell as far as Epstein is concerned (if you believe her testimony).
