The lawyer was literally digging at how the president now is calling this a hoax when he's in a position to help aggressively pursue justice, when in 2009 he took it seriously. The victims were naming Trump as a close friend of Epstein, as someone he bragged to them about being close to. Trump may or may not have ever been to his island or engaged in relations with minors. But if you think he didn't know exactly what Epstein was about for the decades they were tight then you're a bigger fool than Trump.
