Literally all the lawyer said was that when they were investigating Epstein in 2009 he spoke to them and didn't consider this a hoax.

The lawyer was literally digging at how the president now is calling this a hoax when he's in a position to help aggressively pursue justice, when in 2009 he took it seriously.

The victims were naming Trump as a close friend of Epstein, as someone he bragged to them about being close to.

Trump may or may not have ever been to his island or engaged in relations with minors. But if you think he didn't know exactly what Epstein was about for the decades they were tight then you're a bigger fool than Trump.

There are a couple of very different explanations that make sense as to why the info is being held and some are not particularly horrible for Trump but one thing is certain and that is that this thing is indeed a big deal and Trump was in the circle.

This x 1000. There is nothing in those files that will make MAGA turn on Trump (it could be a photo of him rawdogging a 9 yr old and they wouldn't turn but that's not the point). The attorney is not exactly a reliable narrator. He wants to bust this open so can make tons of money suing the people he CAN sue, and Trump isn't one of this. I think the most likely scenario is he didn't do anything himself but he knew about something illegal and didn't report it and there is evidence of that

It's why he campaigned on releasing the info but then did a 180. They likely found evidence of him knowing or witnessing something and that's why he switched up
