More than 100 GOP lawmakers are now planning to join Democrats in forcing the release of the Epstein files, according to new reporting from journalist David Schuster. They’re not doing this out of principle. They’re doing it to "get in front of what’s coming.”

According to multiple reports, senior DOJ officials have privately admitted to Republican lawmakers that the sealed Jeffrey Epstein files are "even worse” for Donald Trump than anyone imagined. Let that land for a second. EVEN WORSE.

For years, Trump has brushed off his friendship with Epstein as "no big deal,” despite publicly bragging back in 2002 that Epstein "likes beautiful women as much as I do — and many of them are on the younger side.”

Now, it turns out that the files may contain evidence far darker than the public has seen — possibly including photos Epstein allegedly showed to journalist Michael Wolff, depicting Trump with half-naked young girls in his lap.

And here’s where the hypocrisy goes nuclear. For months, House Speaker Mike Johnson has refused to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, a Democrat from Arizona, whose vote would give the bipartisan petition just enough signatures to force a release. One more signature — that’s all it would take. But instead of letting the truth out, Johnson is playing procedural games to protect the man who made him Speaker.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi — Trump’s loyalist-in-chief — was recently asked point-blank by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse whether the FBI found those alleged photographs. Her response? Silence. A long, hollow pause that spoke louder than words.

Because this isn’t just about Trump. It’s about the rot of impunity that lets billionaires, politicians, and predators operate above the law while survivors are silenced or dismissed. It’s about a justice system that protects proximity to power instead of the victims of it.

If the DOJ truly believes these files contain evidence of criminal behavior — if they’re even half as damning as insiders claim — then keeping them sealed is not justice. It’s complicity.

The truth is coming, one way or another. And when it does, America will have to decide whether we’re still a nation of laws.
