It's easy to explain away losses after winning the Super Bowl, but I wonder how quick we would explain it away if the ending to the Rams' playoff game was different. Had Carter not shut down that last drive with back to back monster plays, would we be so forgiving of the loss to Washington? Yes, they lost their QB and yes, CJGJ was a moron and got ejected... BUT, they don't put an asterisk in the standings for that.

The point is, regardless of the players, coaches or relative strength of the respective teams... the Eagles and Washington split quite often. It's more likely than not to be a split.

Fair enough. Time will tell.

Trey Lance was highly ranked so the 49ers weren’t the only ones fooled although I would argue that they should’ve paid more attention to his having played only one full season of college ball. North Dakota State QBs have failed more than succeeded in the NFL. I feel for the kids playing QB there. Went from "pro style” offense to really a poor development place for college QBs. To the 49ers defense on this was Covid kind of derailed that draft.

Just because others are fooled too, that doesn't take the 49ers off the hook. And exactly how highly rated was he? Was he as highly ranked as Anthony Richardson was highly ranked? That was also a bone head decision.

But, the point was that their plan was never to play musical chairs with cheap QBs. And clearly, that hasn't changed as they just made another bonehead decision at QB by paying that much to Purdy. The 49ers have just clearly entered NFL purgatory.

Just came across this...

Not to get political but this is funny

I was wondering what this was about. I read that Howie and big Dom invited Ivanka's son's little league football team to visit. She/they took them up on their invitation. How Ricks entered into it I haven't heard, maybe some sort of player host?

He said she was hot on social media after the WH visit

Eli was horny on main for her a few weeks ago.

49ers record will be inflated this season, much like the Vikings and Packers records last season, because of a really soft schedule. You do have to win the easy games on your schedule, but they are set up for a bounce-back season almost by default. The media will be fooled and will be all over them.

The Rams might win that division by virtue of being the better team, but it will depend how the divisional games play out.

Eagles never seem to send a top draft pick to the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. This year, their lone representative is Kyle McCord.

Jalen Carter was the one rare time. At least they sent a draft pick this year and not a UDFA

I can think of no better representative of Philly.

Right before pride month, too… 🤔

I love how McCain just does not care at all and actually finds the hate comments funny.

There are no jinxes and all of our lucky talismans don't affect the outcomes of games.

We are 2 for 3 over 8.

Let's get to 3 out of 4 over 9 and get in this dynasty conversation.

They have the second best odds to be the 1 seed in the NFC, from what I saw.

Ivanka has a lot better plastic surgeon than Don Jr’s GF or Eric’s wife. A number of the Women of Maralago (those old enough to have perused Playboy for the articles and fiction, recognize my play on words) have real bad plastic surgeons. In all seriousness, looks like Jeff, Howie and Nick (and the support staff) did little Theo a solid.

The good news about the schedule Is that I’m guessing 10-12 of those games could be nationally televised - saving me about $300 The Sunday Ticket would cost me - I can just go to a Sports Bar for the rest of the games

I got pissed off last year because of all the games that were on weird platforms like Peacock and not carried on Sunday Ticket, so I did not purchase Sunday Ticket for the first time in a couple of decades.

For the games that were not on national TV, I paid for the NFL+ package for just two months at $6.99 a month -- I only needed two months because of the timing of national games -- and just watched the game replay available on NFL+ immediately after the game. That worked great for me because I think all the games not on national TV were Sunday morning games (which, being on the West coast, run for me from 1-4). I have a regular golf foursome on Sundays which gets me home typically around 3:30, so I would just maintain media silence for half an hour, then watch the game replay on NFL+. They make it available immediately after the game is over, and I mean immediately.

If you are one of those people that have to watch the games truly live, that will not work for you, but if not it is something to consider.
