Ton of competition at the interior CB positions and safety opposite Reed. Adoree Jackson, McWilliams, Makuba (if Brown starts at S) and Brandon Johnson will all have a chance.

Then of course RG/RT development. Adding a couple of behemoths could be similar to the Becton build with Green and Steen being front runners to start the battle this year, but after that could be interesting.

I am REALLY interested to see what happens over the next 2-3 years with the development of Williams, Hinton, and Pierce. If they can get one good long term starter out of those three at either RG or RT that would be huge. The fact that they got all three of them should create some really good competition.

Finally got around to doing some research on the undrafted class (beside Pierce) and Maxen Hook sounds really promising. I saw him listed as a potential 5th round pick in some places and he profiles as a guy who could play both in coverage and in the box as a safety and be a good special teamer. That could be an interesting battle in camp for the 4th safety spot between him, Cine, and McCollum.

The RB from Florida also could be a guy to push for at least a PS spot.

He looks a bit light, maybe he can bulk up a bit.

Jaiquan Jarrett

This popped up on my timeline. All I'll say is watch #25 white. The name will sound familiar. This tape alone should have had him removed from any draft board. Howie sure has redeemed himself.

He’s getting the Sean Considine award, an extra in somebody else’s highlight reel.

Seeing how Thrash went back to Washington and was the 5th receiver after being #1 here, Pinkston and Mitchell never played again after Philly (Pinkston did tear his Achilles, but never came back), the evidence is pretty clear that the WRs sucked.

McNabb took those 3 to 3 straight NFC Championship games. 2000-2004 McNabb was elite and carried the team along with the defense.

Don’t forget Eagles legend Hank Baskett (‘s wife)

Any discussion about a Hurts vs McNabb legacy provides Exhibit A of how important a surrounding cast is for almost any QB. If he wasn't in Pittsburgh, I doubt anyone would remember Terry Bradshaw. Aikman wouldn't be remembered the same way if not for those DAL teams with Jimmy Johnson. Even Joe Montana likely would have had a much different career had he not been in SF with Bill Walsh; yes, he was very good in KC, but he brought all that experience and confidence with him.

When all is said and done, Hurts is well on his way to climbing the all-time Eagles QB list (it's not a great list). At this point, Hurts will be remembered for two very good Super Bowl performances, while McNabb will be remembered for puking on the field in his -- he was much better in the Super Bowl loss than he was in those NFCCG losses to CAR and TB (where he was dreadfully bad in both). Even the ARI loss he had a very poor start -- IIRC, the Eagles were down 24-6 before McNabb woke up.

I don't rank either of Hurts' Super Bowl performances as highly as Foles', though. I think that BDN performance in SB LII to give the Eagles their first Super Bowl will be very hard for anyone to match.

Maybe it’s the homer in me…but Foles’ SB performance was one of the best single game QB performances ever.

For @HazletonEagle too. We got on the McCord train at pretty much the same station and time.

Is that positivity? Are you feeling ok?

Can’t imagine McCollum having much of an advantage. I see 3 locks - then a 4th safety/ST.

Also there’s a lot of guys it seems they like the S/Slot versatility that might be more valuable and make just have more general DB positions rather than a S or CB if that makes sense.

Not my absolute favorite, but one of the guys I really liked at off the ball linebacker in this draft. I liked Knight more, but Mondon is very intriguing to me. Obviously we got the best one who was my absolute favorite.

Tanner better watch his back!

I was stunned to see Knight go in round 2. He turns 25 (!!!) in July.

That was the only detriment. But I think he's going to be good.

Reading up on the Rams draft, and they were considering Terrance Ferguson in round 1 before taking the no-brainer trade down with Atlanta. Apparently they have a set up where the scouts say "we have to draft ______.” Ferguson was the choice for a bunch of their scouts. I love reading these types of blurbs from the draft. I probably liked it more because Ferguson was on my "my guys” list. Even so, I was still fairly stunned he went 46th overall. I assumed he was a third rounder.

I hope Dallas puts out their entire board again

Wish we had draft intel. I’m curious who the Eagles would have taken if Campbell was taken before 31. And who they were trying to trade up for in round 2.

I think Terry Bradshaw was a LOT better than most fans today seem to think.
