What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Clearly it's because Lurie sold it to keep the lights on and CJGJ's fetched a higher price on ebay

No player will have as many sacks as @Godfather gets to the face in a weekend

I’m pretty sure Godfather has only one sack.

Rodgers and Steelers is a good match. Excited to see it, think they will be the best they have been in years.

I always knew he had it in him. Crazy how bad he got the past two outings after such a hot start. Better pick it up quickly before Painter comes and takes his spot

Not that this explains everything... but he has had a bunch of head scratching moments from his defense in these two games. They sure aren't helping him out behind him.

The hardest positions, as an amateur without access to film from colleges, for me to evaluate coming out of college are the DBs, especially the corners but the Ss can be invisible a lot on TV in college because of their depth. I found interesting from the interview with Ringo was the answer to the question from one of the Beats about his coming out of college early. I think the Beat was insinuating that if he stayed and got more playing time in college that he would be better prepared. Ringo’s answer was impressive. He talked about how college CB is so different because of the rules and that he benefited by coming out and getting pro coaching on how to play the position as a pro. My biggest concern with Ringo is he hasn’t shown the contact that is allowed in the pros but that started to change last year. I chalked that up to be the Q effect with some Coop thrown in but I suspect that is the Parker and Anderson effect with some Kasper thrown in teaching them all the little nuances of the game.

Yeah. In college pretty much anything goes until the ball is in the air. It annoys me no end when some pundit (Beat) criticizes a college DB for being "grabby”. Well, of course he’s grabby; he’d be a fool not to be, plus, he’s coached to be grabby. I think it’s quite insightful of Ringo to opt for pro coaching so as not to have to unlearn college habits.

That is clearly your opinion. Others have different opinions. They are just opinions, nothing more, nothing less.

What!? My opinion isn't the be all end all? Since when?

That's all it takes to get gear in the HOF? I don't mean to short change Blankenship & the Eagles accomplishment but dominant Super Bowl wins are not exactly unheard of.

They have a section that deals with events from the previous season. This stuff will be there all year, and then they will replace it with new stuff next season.

Here we go. We are on to scouting for the next draft!

I feel lost these days looking at a lot of DBs…had some crazy misses recently too. I thought Surtain was going to be a S…Christian Gonzo (though i think the level of his play has been over inflated) was gonna a complete bust. The college game has gotten weird too, it slowly over the past 10-15 years became more about brute force of having more talent on the field vs development. Even the way that D’s line up…i feel like 5 yards off is the new press.

I know you and a few others are very high on Ringo, I’m curious to see him if he does indeed end up starting (and I’m curious how they’re going to line up). From what I’ve seen, he looks good on anything breaking vertically, but he’s absolutely lost in the sauce on any horizontal breaking routes…something Slay was amazing at.

I thought Ringo was close last season. I suggested the idea of Cooper as the CB2 in base with Ringo in Al Harris role (Harris would play OCB) and Coop sliding into that Nickelback role.

That said, he isn’t Slay. His presence will be missed on the field and in the clubhouse. I wonder a bit if the decision to trade CJGJ wasn’t based on salary alone but also was predicated by the decision to let Slay go and not wanting CJGJ in the senior role.

This was such a great throw. This and the one to Goedert in SB57 on the third and long are Hurts’s two best throws, IMO.

cool thing happening at the Linc

The guy who couldn’t beat out a 7th round pick and has already stated he’s staying all 4 years…yup. I find this comical, Arch is the new Lawrence.

I’m not sure how the off set language is in Slay’s contract…but he might be back soon. Pitt is going to be even more entertaining than the Browns and Turds to watch this year.

Which is ridiculous with the amount of football he's played, I get the concerns about Nussmeier and Klubnik's frames and ability to withstand the hits they'll get at pro level, but they both have a full season of starting and producing at a good level behind them, they should both be ahead of Manning (as should Allar and probably a few others) to start the season IMO
