I mean doubling negative revenue is progress guess? Instead of losing $20mil per year maybe they'll only lose $10mil. Then they'll add this expansion team and start losing $15mil. I'm happy for them but that league is probably the most useless and costly league in the country

I was surprised to find out that the WNBA gets better ratings than American Ninja Warrior - I have no idea when they actually run those events, but I'm OK with the reruns. Nothing like watching a 5 minute bio about some guy training for a year living in a gym, just to belly flop in the first 2 seconds.

Lighten up Francis I'm just making fun of a creep. And making AI generated angry muscle ladies isn't exactly mid season board material either 🤣 (3, 1, 2 by the way)

I’m genuinely curious as to why you believe it’s "creepy” to assert that females exhibit jealous tendencies towards one another.

I’ve supervised and managed large teams for more than 30 years of my working career and I can assure you it is indeed a real personality tendency among women towards one another. The majority of interpersonal employee issues I’ve had to intermediate involve jealousy and pettiness within the gender — yes, more than in interpersonal male working relationships.

It’s okay to acknowledge that men and women do not view the world the same way, nor do they interact the same way. Jealousy is not an exclusive female trait, as any controlling male will demonstrate, but it does manifest itself quite regularly between women.

Spend a little time in academia and you’ll find that jealousy, back-stabbing, rumor-mongering, and plagiarism knows no gender.

I work in a field that is about 75% women and about 100% type A obsessive personalities, and I can assure you that there is just as much petty jealousy/trash talk/tantrums amongst the men as there are the women. Maybe it's different amongst kids in the work place but in adults it's the same old crap, just manifested and accepted socially in different ways. I find the people that insist there's a significant blanket difference tend to be people who lack the self awareness to recognize the same crap amongst themselves and their peer groups. Partially through ignorance and partially through the social normalization of those behaviors in men.

And if you don't believe me hang out in a hospital OR for a few weeks then come try to tell me the crotchety old man surgeons aren't the cattiest petty ****es you've ever met in your life.

I don’t know, he def struggled with injuries since then. But the per game numbers are still pretty decent for a TE. Think there’s some upside for him in an offense that just gave Jonnu Smith 88 catches and almost 900 yards. Health and the year off are obvious question marks, but some have come back rejuvenated under similar circumstances.

It’s a terrible product, but the league is in a unique situation with Clark and if they’re smart they would strap a rocket on her back the same way the NBA did with Jordan in the early 90s. But they’re too stupid to admit that to themselves due to racial biases and upsetting people.

There has never been more interest in this league than now and instead of marketing towards the main reason why that is, everyone involved is playing a game of suicidal chess to placate virtue signaling morons.

Saw this in Kempski's article yesterday. We have our eight best players on offense signed through 2027, seven through 2028. Amazing roster construction.

I know the cost may become prohibitive, but at least we will have the talent in-house to make decisions with.

That's great. Nobody said men can't be. In relation to Clark getting beat on it's jealousy. Men are competitive but most...not all...but most men in sports will also tip the hat out of respect. One of her teammates finally came to her aid, but before that they watched. Again, that is jealousy.

That doesn't happen with male stars. Why this triggers you in a conversation about why she gets beat is beyond me.

So if it's not jealousy then why is it so widespread?

I don't agree with him Mike. Read it again.

It’s not as much about jealousy being the reason she’s getting roughed up, but it is another reason that people aren’t comfortable talking about.

Really? You think it’s that? Interesting.

I don’t know the specific nuances with the cap, but them getting out of that Wentz mess after giving him his mega deal gives me hope moving forward. I don’t think any of us have any reason to doubt Roseman when it comes to that stuff.

From what i hear on Social Media is that we're going to get Connor McDavid next off-season and land the number 1 pick and get Gavin McKenna.

Nope. If you review psychological studies over the past 20-30 years the vast majority find professional jealousy is higher in women

Yup

The biggest obstacle to a woman is other women

The cost is being defrayed by the defense. Unless I’m wrong, 9 of our 11 defensive starters are on rookie contracts. Baun and Blankenship being the exceptions and Blankenship is getting peanuts.
