Because it is the truth.

It is not a truth. Truths are objective, verifiable and for the most part universally known. What you are calling a truth is a simply an unverified/unverifiable subjective belief/opinion.

Because it is subjective and not objective, there are differing opinions about it, which makes it anything but universally known.

It is also massively vulnerable to bias. Across all the millions of people who care about such things, much more than half of them disagree with any assessment of Hurts simply because he doesn’t play for their team.

Heard her slot will be filled in no time.

But about her show being cancelled...

It isn't cherry picking. It's literally looking at his entire postseason career. Why does it bother you so much to have someone defended Jalen Hurts? Why does literally anything I post always bother you so much? It could be something that someone else posts and you don't say anything about it but if I post it then suddenly you gotta reply to me like you have a stick lodged up your ass?

It bothers me because you are the Davion Taylor of this thread, or if you prefer the Nnamdi Asomugha. You have so much potential to be an outstanding contributor to the "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” collaboration that epitomizes this thread, but you consistently squander that potential.

I’m simply pointing out to you that you can do better.

Not as bad as Herbert. And unlike Herbert, Jalen Hurts has made two Super Bowl runs and has two all time Super Bowl performances. Meanwhile Herbert has crap the bed against two awful teams in the playoffs.

Who does Hurts have to go through to get to the SB?

Now who does Herbert have to go through to get to the SB?

Notice how one has a lot more. AFC is more of a battle. It's been like that for awhile now

Watch the 10 minute highlights from the first 10 or so of our games last year. I don't believe we scored any points in the first quarter until like midseason. It's easy to forget that it wasn't close to perfect offensively after the glory of winning the SB. Hurts deserves a ton of credit. I'm happy to have him as the QB. But he does have his limitations. I thought the ranking was pretty reasonable.

Tebow was able to will his teams to a bunch of wins, and even post-season. It didnt make him one of the elite QBs during his time. Even the year they were in playoffs.

If Hurts is a better version of Tebow who wills a team to win verses doing it with elite QB skills thats fine. But theres no reason to pretend other QBs arent better in the purest sense of the position. And you can still say, Id take Hurts the competitor over a better QB who hasnt won anything.

No they can't.

You act like Herbert is getting bounced by some real heavy weights. He lost to awful Trevor Lawrence and a just as unimpressive Jaguars team a then followed it up with a disasterous performance against a completely pedestrian Houston Texans.

Not that the Sixers had much of a chance, but making the move for PG last year set them back. Bringing him in was so unneccessary and just hurts the franchise.

He's in the same division as Mahomes...

There's also Burrow, Lamar, and Allen in the same conference. Are you going to downplay those 4 QBs now?

Stroud could be the answer for Texans. That would add another QB. Nix looked really good in his rookie season

WTF is the purest sense of the position?

Signing an old, often injured player who have never won anything of consequence nor ever even played in the finals to a max contract for a team he never wanted to play for is a bad decision?

Justin Herbert hasn't lost to Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar or Allen in the playoffs. None of those QBs have played any role in why Herbert has been awful in his just two playoff appearances.

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts is 3-0 against Burrow, Lamar and Allen. 2-2 against Mahomes including outplaying him in two Super Bowls.

In a word, passing.

I see you're moving goalposts now. AFC has more talented QBs to go through than the NFC to get to the SB

@Mike030270

Let's look at Jalen Hurts 2 worst playoff games compared to Justin Herbet's 2 best (lol!) playoff games.

Jalen Hurts: 61.5%, 508 yards passing, 2 TD, 2 INT, 73.4 passer rating and 44 yards rushing.

Justin Herbert: 52.0%, 515 yards passing, 2 TD, 4 INT, 60.7 passer rating and 12 yards rushing.

I'm not moving the goalposts. I'm addressing the reality of what has occurred. Justin Herbert has not had to go through any of those top QBs in the AFC. He lost to Lawrence and Stroud in a down year. He has not had to go through Mahomes, Burrow, Lamar or Allen in the playoffs.

You know who has had to go through Mahomes? Hurts. He outplayed him in two Super Bowls. Mahomes, Stafford, Love, Purdy and Daniels are all better QBs than the two that Herbert has lost to in the playoffs and all QBs who Hurts has beat in the playoffs.

  1. Jayden Daniels has quickly become the most laughably overrated player in the NFL by a mile. 7.4 YPA and a 100.1 rating. 8.0 and 103.7 for Jalen, and the national media says Hurts is a bad passer. That moron Chris Broussard goes on and on about how Daniels was great in the NFCCG with a 5.3 YPA and 72.8 rating. Guy is checkdown Charlie.

  2. Emmanuel Acho and Chase Daniel are unemployed. What a beautiful day.

I believe the First Quarter scoring drought was much more on the coaches than on the players. The scripts the coaches drew up were much more tactical than performative. That was a bit arrogant, but somewhat understandable given both Coordinators were new … and as we know additionally the Offense went through a reset in the Bye Week, which prolonged the tactical period by at least four weeks.

You can say the exact same thing about the move to bring in James Hardin. Or Markelle Fultz. Or even Ben Simmons. Or letting Jimmy Butler leave. Long story short, they have a long list of moves they made that hurt the team much more than they helped the team.

It's amazing how everyone is riding his D. Let them. Hype him and that team up as much as you can, because they are going to crash hard with their age across the board.
