I remember one of them mentioning him shadowing. Is he doing that in practice?

Yes, he's gotten very good at shadow puppets and entertains the guys in the training room with his routine.

He does a skit where Jordan Mailata first met Kenny Pickett.

It's nice to see how supportive Cooper and Quinyon are of each other. Playing together on the football field side by side. It's like they are in perfect harmony.

I'm not talking about danger. I'm talking about recognizability. Tarantulas are the most recognizable spider. So to call someone that as a nickname then show a video of another spider is silly. Like calling him The Cobra then showing any other snake. Or The Clydesdale and showing any other horse. Or The Hammerhead Shark and showing any other shark. If you want other examples.

I don't really care. It's just kinda dumb by the Phillies imo. Show a tarantula if that's what you're going for.

In defense of the Phillies - all that stuff came over from Minnesota. They shared it with them so he could still have his entrance like he did with them, and the Phillies accepted. I suppose if enough dorks complain that the AI generated spider on the video board isn't an accurate depiction of a tarantula, they could probably change it.

They are? I would think the most recognizable venomous spider would be the black widow

The black widow is the sexiest spider.

Some good stuff

After practice, Kelce spent some time working with Laekin Vakalahi.

Low hip and hand check Kelee

• Kelee Ringo got called for DPI on a rep against Darius Cooper. Ringo ran through the catch point and never looked back. This isn’t the first time this has happened this summer.

Extend him now, Howie

Braden Mann was absolutely booming some punts today. This is the best I have seen his leg look.

New term for the Blog dictionary

• Jalen Carter jumped offsides and Tyler Steen quickly got out of his stance to draw the offsides call in team drills. That’s what Jeff Stoutland calls an "ooga-booga-booga” and he was probably happy to see Steen get that call. Moro Ojomo jumped offsides in a backup up period earlier in practice.

Second time Live with 3rd team and a Hook mention

• The Eagles went live (tackle to the ground) with the third-team offense and defense late in practice. ShunDerrick Powell was able to slip a tackle attempt from Dallas Gant. Then safety Maxen Hook hit Powell with a truck stick a couple plays later. Kyle McCord delivered a pass to Taylor Morin for a touchdown on a slant. The last play of the day was Powell getting stuffed at the goal line.

He only needs 30 more playoff wins to tie Brady.

@FranklinFldEBUpper how do you judge our emergency LS

Better than Brent Celek, I guess. Hard to make any judgment on one snap.

Mailata, DeJean, and Mitchell in the books.

Carter, Baun, Brown, Johnson, Hurts, and Barkley on the way.

DeVonta, Goedert, Dickerson, and Jurgens are all fringe top-100, IMO. That's 9 out of 11 starters on offense.

Black Widows do not like to come out into the sunshine, so we seldom see them.

No Avery Williams anywhere to be seen.

They want this to be a story in the worst way.
