The clear cut starters have been the starters all camp. Steen has started every day as a starter. Ringo hasn't impressed them enough to earn that and they wanted him to. Seems very obvious to me

Regarding depth, what the trade contained was our 5th or 6th DT, who wasn’t likely to be active on game day … if he even made the roster. Sliding Gabe Hall or Byron Young into that 5th DT slot is just as good depth as Booker in that slot. Depth is preserved. In exchange we got a dice throw addition to Cornerback … a possible contribution to the work in progress. Depth may or may not have been affected. Only time will tell what number the dice roll produced.

Howie and the coaching staff have a plan, and they are executing that plan. Your wet drawers are inconsequential to them.

It's okay matt, you can admit you were wrong on your weird hostile reaction to me saying Roseman was most likely to do at least one trade either in August and/or at the deadline.

A CB in year 3 with starting potential > backup DT 5 in year 4. Good process, and a trade we should make every time.

Even if Bennett is just CB4/5 here, that's still worth it for 2 years.

Huh? Can you cite to any article that Howie has long had a crush on Jackson? I haven’t seen it. Vic hasn’t addressed Jackson any differently, other than his has to decide who he is comment, than he has any other player. (I love his pressers because he teases with the Beats). He did say he hadn’t watched film and that Howie signs who he does. (That’s Howie’s area of responsibility and why would he be watching film of defensive players, as DC, I imagine he concentrates out what the offense is doing versus the defense showing on tape.)

At least he's 1 1/2 inches taller than Maddox. I always hated seeing Maddox playing boundary CB because he was not only short, but he played with zero compete level out there. Hopefully Bennett knows how to use what size he has.

Eagles were reportedly interested in Jackson before he signed with the Giants back in 2021. They set up a visit for him but he ended up choosing NY before it happened.

If the Eagles are to trade one of their QBs this preseason, this is the team to keep an eye out for. I still think it's most likely they don't trade any of them and just end up cutting one, but Fields sucks, he's always sucked, he's an awful thrower, and I have no idea why the Jets signed him. It would've been a great tank move for Archie Manning, but I don't think the Jets are tanking.

I don't agree. He has late hands, as @HazletonEagle commented. Unlike Ringo, he doesn't run through the receiver. He's not grabby. He has a hand on the receiver's hip - something you have commented on that Ringo doesn't seem to have, um, grasped without holding. And he can really run. Hard to tell from those clips how fluid his hips are but he certainly charts well as a zone CB.

He does hand check but the play on Chase, he mugged him. We just see it a bit differently. I really like Q’s hand checks. He does it like good basketball defenders. Touching but not grabbing. I see some grab hands by Bennett in that montage. Frankly, I think Kelee mirrors well and that has led to not using his hip and hands better. I hope he gets every snap against Burrows as he needs to play to get better.

I know he’s beaten Steen, Toth and Green. Couldn’t say on Landon.
